mert was taking a stab at people drawing lines on charts to "predict prices" but deleted his post here was my answer "why do you weird poker people always pretend you can tell the cards because you saw some weird hand movement? do you need professional help?" in reality (good) poker players just make up a *range* of potential outcomes based on every variable of information available to them throughout the entire hand, consider how often each part of the range is likely to occur, think about how big or small they should bet to maximally exploit the opponent and his range, and calculate how much they win when they end up against low end of the range vs how much they lose when they end up against the top end of the range... it's all just educated guesswork based on probability assessment now apply the same thing to trading just because all you see is random lines on a chart and don't understand the whole framework behind the strategy doesn't mean it's astrology for men that being said, most people using technical analysis have no idea what they are doing

@VanAmAdvisory @cburniske they are trojan because users don’t need to fully understand what crypto is or how it works in order to purchase. so they sneak people into crypto without them being fully aware. crypto can be daunting when you think in plain monetary terms.

@cburniske Why would you say they’re a Trojan Horse? What’s your concern with them? I’d argue it would help people get familiar and get in the right mindset for crypto as it is right now as there wouldn’t be anyone thinking they bought something safe per se, just having some fun?

NFTs are the Trojan Horse to bring crypto to the mainstream.
