@AmazonUK you've taken my money and cancelled my order. Your customer support page is not accessible either. Trying to cancel the other items as pointless without the battery and your site is just not working!

@JayTheLinuxGuy Apologies for the late reply, it was still twitter last time I was on lol. Yeah I think you're right about constant writes keeping the drive awake. Openmediavault and hdparm was my solution (virtualized)

@iSoogs Hmmm, that’s a good question and I never thought about that. One thought I have is that the disk wouldn’t have a chance to spin down, since it’s pretty much always being written too. I’d wonder if it would spin up/down frequently and shorten the lifespan. Thoughts?
