There was a time when left-handed people were ‘corrected’ because it made others uncomfortable. It’s worth remembering how often society gets things wrong before it gets them right, especially with trans people

Comparing the preferred limb/appendage of a person to perform a given function to that of someone identifying as something they are not.
I identify as right handed even though my biological and physical traits and behaviors result in me using my left hand.
I identify as brown eyed even to though my eyes are green.
I identify as African although I was born in Australia to Aboriginal parents.

The risk of a woman being abused or assaulted in the women's toilet is indeed low, as long as it remains women-only. Risk goes up considerably when men are admitted to women's spaces.

The risk of a trans woman being abused or assaulted in the men’s toilet per visit = extremely high. The risk of a woman being abused or assaulted in the women’s toilet per visit = extremely low.

If you have to add that the definition of “woman” includes men who claim to be women, it means they’re not included in the actual definition and therefore not women.
