A couple uncharacteristic Penrith issues last night. Obvious errors and discipline aside, I’ve never seen Cleary run the ball on 4th tackle more than he did last night. When he did get the ball on 5th, it was often a dinky little grubber to himself relieving any pressure they had built. The bigger issue may be Talagi’s defence. Canterbury have laid the blueprint with where and how to attack Penrith, and it’s a gaping hole on their left edge. Galvin’s short ball to Preston is one of the easier reads in the NRL given its usage, yet Talagi was frequently caught out directly leading to points. Full credit to Canterbury. Suffocated them with defensive line speed and punished them with attacking shape. #NRLSuperCoach #NRL
