@deecelt @stuzi_pants This is nonsense. This outbreak is at a university, spread by students. Why must you lot make EVERYTHING the fault of migrants? Its bloody ridiculous.

@stuzi_pants Quite a few of the recent infections have come from overseas, we screen better and provide vaccinations for our children, many others don't. She is correct in that.

Here’s Queen of tinfoil and misinformation Alex Phillips claiming that the Meningitis outbreak has been caused by illegal immigration But don’t worry kids, the presenter on after her is a science denier who thinks it was created by the deep state 🤦‍♂️

@esp8687 What when we were under Keynesianism, yeah your right, government intervention, high union membership and full employment was a great thing, shame Thatcher, Major, Blair and all the rest have lurched us further and further to the right every year isn’t it Shirley

@RattusFlattus @MountainMcRae @DrNeilStone @lizditz *punctures. All that said, most people wouldnt need to worry, at least when it comes to kids, theyre guaranteed to have had something more obvious which you did vaccinate them for, it is part of the infant immunisation schedule in most countries and lasts 10 years.

@MountainMcRae @Wills_42 @RattusFlattus @DrNeilStone @lizditz Yeah, we all understand where it comes from and we all know no matter how benign, you get yourself or your kid vaccinated. Rabies ONLY comes from rabid animals. If your pet poodle is not rabid and bites you, you dont get vaccinated.

@Wills_42 @RattusFlattus @DrNeilStone @lizditz My point is tetanus can come from sumthin totally benign, most often exposed cuts or scrapes in the garden. With rabies, ya know if ya got bit by an animal, so ya know ta go get a post-exposure prophylactic vaccine. Rabies is a problem anywhere there are bats, so everywhere.

@RattusFlattus @MountainMcRae @DrNeilStone @lizditz Kids can get tetanus just playing around outside in dirt from a cut, scrape, anything minor injury. It's just not worth the risk at all. People must get children vaccinated.

@MountainMcRae @RattusFlattus @DrNeilStone @lizditz Incorrect, the causes of tetanus are very well known. Bites, scratches etc. Anything that breaks the skin from an object which can cause it. Childcare workers get them after children bite them, for example.

@DrNeilStone @lizditz Wait, quick question. I thought that even if you weren’t vaccinated, you could easily be given a treatment soon after exposure? Did he not know that he had a wound?

Nice to see one voice of calm rationality in the newspapers. Unfortunately everything else we see suggests this is another attempt to create a false pandemic. ❗️The pre-incident planning. ❗️The use of PCR tests to inflate the "cases". ❗️The breathless news stories about a small number of, admittedly very sad, deaths and serious illnesses. ❗️The lack of perspective in the news coverage about how rare meningitis deaths are ❗️The labelling of the incident as "unprecedented" when there are outbreaks like this regularly (I remember being warned about it when I went to university in the last millennium) ❗️ The rush to push vaccination as the solution ❗️ Even mention of masks and lockdowns ❗️ Politicians giving medical advice I've seen this movie before. In the UK, more than 1500 people sadly die every single day of all causes (including a small number of young people) but, once again, the media is focusing, momentarily, on a small handful of especially newsworthy ones and ignoring all the others. Are they doing it because they know these stories involving young people are very "clickable", increasing newspaper and advertising sales ? Or behind them, is it the newly-created "pandemic industry" that's feeding them propaganda? After 2020, and after the completely coincidental planning exercise about a meningitis outbreak that just took place, you have to suspect that the latter explanation is the true one. Well done @rwjdingwall for standing out from the crowd, as you did during the first casedemic.

@Jacalakie @A1an_M If you take it seriously, and treat it as it should be treated, as a very serious outbreak, it is manageable. If you decide instead to do what the OP is doing and spread blatantly false information to push a petty agenda, it WILL kill far more than Covid ever could.

@Jacalakie @A1an_M Meningitis is nothing like covid. It has a mortality rate 100 times higher. It doesnt distinguish in who it kills. Young, old, healthy, unhealthy, irrelevant. I lost a friend to this disease when she was 16. It killed a fit healthy, athletic 16 year old, in a week.
