Coates is implying that Israel, a state that guarantees full rights to all citizens regardless of background, is an apartheid. This isn't the first time. Coates once made a trip to the West Bank, which he concluded is an apartheid. There are problems in the West Bank, that's for sure, but Coates assigns all blame to Israel for attempts to protect its citizens, and none to Palestinian leadership who pay salaries to terrorists. Of course, to Coates, the specifics hardly matter, as he admits this is less about what you believe, and more about getting elected. When the truth doesn't matter, when Jewish life isn't considered worthy of protection, and when winning elections is straightforwardly the goal, Coates is right about one thing. That is not a continuation of a legacy of fighting for justice. Not at all.

The WBank ISN'T part of Israel! They have their own government. Palestinians AREN'T Israelis. Movement is limited because they were walking into Israel and suicide bombing.
