Seeing chatter about Fable 5 being accessible - can say categorically this is false, we are not serving any Fable / Mythos traffic
Looking into possibility of UI bug on front-end (e.g. based on historical context), but also very real chance it’s just people shitposting…

Eight days ago, Fable 5 was missing from the Amazon Bedrock model catalog.
Today it is listed and available on bedrock runtime.
Mythos 5 and Mythos Preview are showing up too.
They are listed on bedrock mantle but not yet on runtime.
The same model the US government banned 12 days ago is quietly reappearing in production AWS infrastructure.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
