2. The readability of the text output by the GPT model itself is inferior to that of other models. These two issues make me reluctant to read the conversation content output within the Codex app.

The @OpenAIDevs codex app is indeed very smooth. However, there are two obvious issues with the current user experience: 1. The UI layout of the chatbot conversation lacks refinement and design. 2. ...

iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.

I'm joining @OpenAI at the end of the month, and I can't wait to get started! I'll be working on everything related to Codex, bringing what I learned building Codex Monitor, and working with the developer experience team with @romainhuet!

@amix3k Yes, it is not easy to build and maintain a system that runs well for agents. In fact, it is quite difficult.

What most people think happened: engineering got easier because AI agents can handle much of the coding. What actually happened: we are shipping a lot more, a lot faster, and engineers need to build robust systems to ensure nothing breaks. From what I'm seeing, engineering has become much more intense with AI, not less.
Gokul Rajaram@gokulr

MULTI JOBBING AI tools have made engineers (and other roles) so much more productive that I expect to see a tidal wave of people holding down two (or more) full time remote jobs in parallel, employers none the wiser. Already hearing the first few anecdotes of folks doing this. The tell is someone not updating their LinkedIn months after leaving their last job :) PS being a full time W2 employee at multiple companies is illegal in the US.

@thenanyu Your question is equivalent to === Why do programmers write bugs? Can't they just write the code correctly all at once?

I see things like /simplify and the existence of code review and bug finding AIs. I have to ask, why do these things exist? Why doesn't the coding agent just naturally do these things? I'm sure there's a good answer. Can someone help me understand?
Boris Cherny@bcherny

In the next version of Claude Code.. We're introducing two new Skills: /simplify and /batch. I have been using both daily, and am excited to share them with everyone. Combined, these kills automate much of the work it used to take to (1) shepherd a pull request to production and (2) perform straightforward, parallelizable code migrations.
