Found it. When you set up OpenClaw with topics/channels there's a hidden default setting that resets sessions after 2 hours ... making your agent forgetful & way less feel useful than your main DM session. If you are experiencing this, ask your agent what the channel idle settings are. thread: { mode: "idle", idleMinutes: 180 } I changed mine to 4 days instead of 2 hours.

I split my OpenClaw into 5 focused threads w/ the appropriate model pinned to each thread. Crons routed to each channel based on topic. Nightmare. Now I have 5 different convos where my bot constantly lies, regresses, and one Opus orchestrator who throws Codex under the bus.

Maybe the sickest OpenClaw use case I've ever built I now have my own R&D department Twice a day 5 different AI models autonomously meet and discuss my business They take a look at my products/content and debate eachother and come up with next steps to grow revenue They then send me a memo that describes all their discussions and next action steps I need to take It's been WILDLY helpful. Especially in developing my new product This is how you use super intelligence to autonomously earn you money Here's how to set it up: 1. Go to OpenClaw 2. Ask it to set up a dashboard for an R&D council (5 different AI models) 3. Have them meet at 9am and 5pm every day 4. Give them access to all your links, code, and anything you're working on 5. Have one of them (rotating) come up with a new idea 6. Have all 5 debate 7. Build a report based on their discussions Now twice a day you'll get a ping with a detailed memo describing how to grow your business Next steps is making all of these 5 models local so they can run for free and do this around the clock If you implement workflows like this, I promise your life will change

@Ph33sh @scaling01 If I remember right, I got mine to fix this by having it stop letting the model guess the date and have it pull the time directly from the Mac/session first. Cron or launchd may have been part of the automation around it, but I don’t think that was the actual date-fix piece.

talked to Opus 4.6 for a couple of hours about personal problems and it has this weird response mode where it's very commanding "put the phone down", "close the laptop", "Save this conversation. Set the reminder. Go to sleep.", do this, do that not sure how I feel about it

just switched my claude code opus 4.6 effort to max looking forward to seeing what it comes up with in the next three and a half minutes… and then five hours later when it runs for another three and a half minutes… and then that’ll probably be it for the cycle

@saradietschy Idk I kind of like the original. The neon on the updated one is giving more of a “peachy, after dark” vibe

My neon sign was always clipping in my shot so I finally gave in and switched to LOG (i usually don't bother) Recent tweaks: 👉 S-Cinetone to LOG more info, highlights saved, way more control in post 👉 Cleaned up the background shelves less visual noise, way too chaotic by my head 👉 Cranked key + fill neon can't be brighter than my face Future tweaks: 👉 Make it more "dark mode" like before hard when the neon is basically a sun, might have to break out the grid on the soft box but I hate using those feel like it make my face look weird

Bupropion 150 mg so far: it noticeably reduces lethargy and procrastination, and gives a mild but clear boost in drive and getting things done. I spend less time just lying in bed doing nothing. Side effects: first 2 weeks occasional mild buzzing/burning tingling in my head, not painful, just unpleasant, but not anymore. But I am more short-tempered and easily irritated; I used to be very chill, but now I get annoyed faster and people notice it. Starting 300 mg today

San Francisco resident Joe Lo, who works near Fisherman’s Wharf and often swings by Pier 39 after clocking out, first noticed a sea lion that seemed noticeably bigger than the rest on Saturday, March 14. “He woke up and swam off and spooked the rest of the sea lions,” Lo told SFGATE. “I’d never seen one that huge before,” he added. “I thought it was an elephant seal.” It turned out to be a Steller sea lion, a larger species that can reach up to 11 feet long and weigh as much as 2,500 pounds — about as heavy as a Toyota Prius. By comparison, a male California sea lion typically tops out around 7.5 feet and 700 pounds. The substantial fellow has since left the area, Pier 39 told SFGATE.

@SFGate I hope he’s all right. If he breeds with the others, a new species could develop, possibly midsized

@Bencera @nbaschez @sama They seem to always default to UI simplicity even when I ask multiple times and ways that I want it to be “top-tier” and “high quality.”

@nbaschez I agree. These models are RL’ed to always find something wrong without additional prompting. @sama someone needs to work on this. In the meantime, adding “don’t over-engineer” works sometimes.

my AI coding workflow as a solo founder: - opus 4.6 for exploration + planning - codex 5.4 xhigh to stress-test the plan (catches gaps opus missed) - back to opus, which usually complains codex is overengineering lol - few rounds back and forth. codex implements, opus reviews. - ask both: "safe to ship? what's the worst thing that could happen?" opus and codex arguing over my codebase is my entire engineering team. will probably ship this workflow as a Polsia feature at some point.

@petergyang @openclaw @telegram Voice notes do capture personality. But try finding a specific detail in a 2-minute clip. Text still wins for technical work.

My conversations with my @openclaw has transitioned primarily to voice notes. Much more personality that way. @telegram is there a way to do hands free voice mode?

PSA if you’re using a telegram group for your openclaw: each individual topic has its own think setting. So if you think you’ve changed them globally on main, you haven’t. 🦞
