Elon can't afford my retainer
I'm a former military lawyer who noticed what was happening in August-September 2021. I took screencaps. I have a lot more than these.

@mcmonkeymc @mjfree The entire US army would disagree. My family has been here since before it was a country. Fought in every single conflict since 1650. Can you say the same?

🇮🇱🇱🇧 2 IDF soldiers have been jailed for 30 days after one smashed a statue of Jesus Christ with a sledgehammer in southern Lebanon while the other filmed it. Both removed from combat duty. Swift punishment, but this is not an isolated incident. It follows the destruction of a Saint George statue in Yaroun during Palm Sunday, the demolition of a 1st century Christian shrine near Tyre, and IDF strikes on two churches in Gaza. A pattern that raises serious questions about the IDF's attitude toward Christian symbols. Source: BBC News

🇮🇱🇺🇸 The love affair between America and Israel lasted 75 years, but a break-up is starting to look inevitable. 60% of Americans now view Israel unfavorably. 75% of Americans 18-29 sympathize more with Palestinians than Israelis. 40 out of 47 Democrats in the Senate just voted to block U.S. arms sales to Israel, something that would have been career suicide a few years ago. White House hopefuls are practically in a bidding war to see who can distance themselves furthest from Israel. Rahm Emanuel, whose middle name is literally Israel, is pledging to end America's $3.8 billion annual subsidy and impose an embargo if Israel breaks the rules of war. This dramatic shift seems like it started with Gaza, and in some ways it did, but to really understand it you have to go back further. Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in 1995 by an Israeli extremist who opposed the peace process. His death ended the era of Israeli leaders staking their careers on compromise, and the Netanyahu era was ushered in. Trump’s war with Iran was against the advice of many of his closest advisors, and the most prominent voice urging him to go ahead (other than Lindsey Graham) was Netanyahu. An influence Americans have begun to notice. As boomers who grew up seeing Israel as the underdog die off, they are being replaced by generations who grew up watching Gaza, and the numbers only move in one direction. Trump is 79 and clearly sees Israel as a close ally, but whoever comes after Trump is almost certain to be far less accommodating. Whether it’s a Democrat, or a Republican. Source: Financial Times

The Folly of So-Called Foundational Black Americans So-called Foundational Black Americans may tell themselves they are noble protectors of ancestral legacy, but they are in fact little different from European groups in this country that conceptualized white privilege and tried to reserve it for exclusive groups. Is it a group or a movement, or is it more of a concept? #FBA #movement #lol #wow laprogressive.com/racism/foundat…

@ethanmwolf The Hasan hit pieces won’t land with anyone under 35 because most people didn’t have a drivers license on 9/11 probably find the joke funny. If you’re going to attack him at least try to make him look like an idiot, this is literally a promotion piece

I’ve warned Democrats for months about Hasan Piker’s efforts to insert himself into our party. Read my op-ed in The Washington Post about why the normalization of Piker within the Democratic Party is a mistake Democrats cannot afford to make. wapo.st/4cyGZyT

I am deeply disturbed by the reports of antisemitic incidents at Scarsdale High School. These reports demand a thorough investigation, and every individual responsible must be held fully accountable. At a time when the Jewish community is facing heightened threats and hostility, students deserve to feel safe in their schools - places meant for learning, growth, and community. No student should have to walk into their classroom in fear of the next antisemitic act. Prejudice, to any group, is not welcomed here. I will continue to advocate for an end to antisemitism and work toward building a community where every person feels welcome and safe, regardless of their religious affiliation or ethnic heritage.

@mcmonkeymc @B1TuckerCarlson @Bmbempower It’s not a competence competition when discussing immigrant populations, it’s a wage floor competition, political sabotage/undermining when they blend in and pretend to be FBAs. Much of their leverage/political capital while here comes from proximity to & antagonism towards FBAs.

This is based on white supremacist garbage pseudoscience. This sounds like Nazi propaganda. A “net drain on the society” is something Hitler would say.

"The average IQ in Somalia hovers around 70, and that's the threshold for mentally handicapped ... they're a net drain on the society" -- even by MAGA standards, the unvarnished racism of this interview of Rep. Brandon Gill by Benny Johnson is breathtaking

🇨🇳 China has 70% more crude oil in reserve than the United States... That's not an accident China's total crude inventories: 1,397 million barrels. U.S. total crude inventories: 825 million barrels. The structural difference is the real story. America's 411 million barrels of commercial inventory are privately held and operate independently from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. China's 1,038 million barrels of "commercial" inventory are held by state-owned national oil companies, meaning Beijing effectively controls the entire stockpile. Add it up: the Chinese government has direct or indirect command over nearly 1.4 billion barrels of oil. The U.S. government controls 413 million. Now the timeline makes sense. Hormuz has been blocked since late February. Iranian oil shipments to China have slowed but not stopped. And Beijing has shown zero panic the entire war. That's because Beijing didn't react to this crisis. It spent a decade preparing for it. The only question now is how long 1.4 billion barrels last. And what Beijing does when the cushion runs thin. @jackprandelli

🚨🇨🇳 Tungsten just spiked 640% in a year. Almost nobody is talking about it... The metal is used in armor-piercing tank rounds, bunker busters, artillery shells, and the warheads of every Tomahawk cruise missile currently being fired in the Middle East. Highest melting point of any known element. Nearly twice as dense as lead. It is the backbone of modern kinetic warfare. China controls 83 to 85% of global supply and nearly all the processing. The chart shows the smoking gun... Rotterdam prices are exploding while Chinese domestic prices stayed flat. That's Beijing deliberately choking off exports to the West while keeping the same metal cheap for its own defense industry. The U.S. and NATO burned through stockpiles supplying Ukraine. Now they're burning through more sustaining the Iran war. Congress can appropriate whatever it wants for munitions. Defense contractors physically cannot build the shells without tungsten. Everyone is watching the Navy blockade Iran. China is running a quieter more devastating blockade on the metals that make every weapon the West fires. Source: Bloomberg

Historically, America understood that when a madman with minimal expertise comes to you and says that you must become a monster to stave off a hypothetical future threat, that is a sociopath whose byword is fascism. Some of us *still* see Alex Karp for what he is and represents.

This company is out of control and its CEO appears in nearly every public appearance to be disturbed in some way. There are companies our government should have nothing to do with anymore—e.g., those associated with Elon Musk—and Palantir is on that list. businessinsider.com/palantir-manif…
