Wow. SpaceX/xAI to potentially buy Cursor this year for 60 billion $ This makes SO much sense xAI has been behind on coding products for years now Cursor has a great coding product, but will fail unless they build their own model xAI gets an incredible coding product. Cursor gets the compute infrastructure to build its own model instead of rely on its competitors (Anthropic and OpenAI) which would eventually lead to certain death This is probably happening to every 'vibe coding' tool out there The economics make no sense for them. You build a vibe coding tool but you are 100% reliant on Anthropic and OpenAI for models, who are at the same time building their own vibe coding tools, putting margins on your compute, and using models only they have access to to build faster Wins for both sides. I've been waiting years for a Grok Code. Hopefully this is the start of it

SpaceXAI and @cursor_ai are now working closely together to create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI. The combination of Cursor’s leading product and distribution to expert software engineers with SpaceX’s million H100 equivalent Colossus training supercomputer will allow us to build the world’s most useful models. Cursor has also given SpaceX the right to acquire Cursor later this year for $60 billion or pay $10 billion for our work together.

SpaceX just bought the right to acquire Cursor for $60 billion. Or $10 billion for the partnership alone. Colossus: 1,000,000 H100-equivalent GPUs. Cursor: the #1 coding tool in the world. SpaceX: the company that just absorbed xAI. Elon just consolidated compute, distribution, and the best coding product. Anthropic is cooked.

BREAKING: The two-week ceasefire plan between the Iran and the US allows Iran and Oman to charge fees on ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, per CNN. A regional official said this money would be used for the reconstruction of Iran. Iran has been recently charging $2 million for a one-way voyage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Huge congratulations to TradeXYZ and S&P for this historic partnership. I'm honored that these teams choose to build on Hyperliquid. Seeing official S&P500 perpetual futures launch exclusively on Hyperliquid is a validation of everyone's past years of hard work: global access to decentralized finance, perpetual futures as 24/7 price discovery, and Hyperliquid upgrading the existing financial stack to house all of finance. The S&P500 is synonymous with "the market," a single number that captures the essence of the largest economy in the world. Looking forward to tracking the world's most important financial gauge 24/7 on the most liquid permissionless markets.
trade.xyz@tradexyz

S&P Dow Jones Indices and trade[XYZ] have joined forces to launch the first official S&P 500 perpetual contract, available exclusively on Hyperliquid. For 69 years, the S&P 500 has been a defining reference point for global finance. Until now, access to that benchmark has been shaped by market hours, intermediaries, and geography. Today, that changes. The S&P 500 perp is now available 24/7/365, anchored by the official index data required for deep liquidity and institutional confidence at scale.  SPDJI helped define modern indexing. They are stewards of an iconic benchmark, the standard against which portfolios across the globe are measured. We are honored to bring that legacy on-chain. Trade[XYZ] is bringing the world's most iconic assets towards a future of global, continuous markets — a future powered by Hyperliquid.

BREAKING: As US oil prices now near $120/barrel, our models indicate that if current levels are sustained for 3 months, US CPI inflation would rise to ~3.7%. This would put US inflation at its highest level since September 2023.

We’ve identified industrial-scale distillation attacks on our models by DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax. These labs created over 24,000 fraudulent accounts and generated over 16 million exchanges with Claude, extracting its capabilities to train and improve their own models.

This is the smartest counter I’ve seen to ai taking over jobs, in the short term. Is the ((aggregate tokens cost to do what an employee does + plus fully encumbered developer and maintenance costs ) / (fully encumbered employee cost ) )<= productivity ? If it takes 8 Claude agents, at $300 for tokens, per day, plus $200 per day in dev/maint , to do what an employee does per day, at a fully encumbered cost of $1200. That’s 2600/1200. But then you need to factor in the productivity rate. Is it more than 2.16 x productive ? Are there qualitative issues like morale, morality, whatever , that can’t be quantified, that need to go into the decision? What is the going forward progression of burdened costs for the tokens ? Curious what people think about this ?
The All-In Podcast@theallinpod

What Happens When AI Tokens Cost More Than Your Employees? @Jason: “We, with our agents, hit $300/day per agent using the Claude API, like instantly. And that was doing, maybe, 10 or 20%. That's $100k/year per agent.” @chamath: “We're getting to a place where we have to basically now say, ‘What is the token budget that we're willing to give our best devs?’” “And then if you aggregate it across all people, you can clearly see a trend where you're like, ‘Well, hold on a second, now they need to be at least 2x as productive as another employee.’” “That is actively happening inside my business, because otherwise I'll run out of money.” Jason: “Yeah. This is a very interesting trend that you're not going to hear anybody else talk about, but when do tokens outpace the salary of the employee?” “Because you're about to hit it. I'm about to hit it.”

Peter Steinberger is joining OpenAI to drive the next generation of personal agents. He is a genius with a lot of amazing ideas about the future of very smart agents interacting with each other to do very useful things for people. We expect this will quickly become core to our product offerings. OpenClaw will live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support. The future is going to be extremely multi-agent and it's important to us to support open source as part of that.
