Michael Carrick has restored Manchester United to the Champions League. He has restored hope and pride. He has just won a huge game against ancient rivals. Carrick now has 10 wins, two draws and only two defeats in 14 games in charge. A team that bordered on a distressed asset … looking a force again. An academy that could have worried about the pathway for prospects being blocked…have hope again. A fanbase frustrated by a team drifting … energised again. A club together again, Manchester United. As job auditions go, Michael Carrick could hardly have done much more. Deserves the job. United have tried bigger names and not fared as well. Carrick wants the job. He cares about the club. @Strandjunker American no longer needs forward bases. The swift and decisive defeat of Iran is proof. While the European countries failed to help in Iran , to their own detriment, the US displayed overwhelming power and technical superiority. Modern warfare has changed.

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany. It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.
