@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump I don’t think we are far off on this. Things on social media make tiny differences seem bigger (which isn’t healthy for us haha) but I don’t put a lot of stock in the Axelrod thing. It was an audience. He does it for all people & backgrounds. I don’t think it moved the needle 🤷‍♂️

@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Don’t disagree with that either, but I have a big question mark on why did the Pope meet w/David Axelrod and then start w/the politics? There seems to be plenty of blame to go around.

As a Catholic, I don't buy that @realDonaldTrump is dividing most Catholics at least in this country. Quite the opposite in fact. They agree with him because most American Cathloics hate that the church has become politically progressive, obsequoous to the left and at times openly Marxist. The Pope-who is American--is literally suggesting that we should turn a blind eye to the murderous mullahs, and the American taxpayer should subsidize the world's poor through open borders. As a result, the Pope and the Catholic Church is losing its relevance for most American Cathloics who believe it should stay out of politics and focus its attention to matters of faith and its own problems, lest we forget how it ignored child abuse for decades wsj.com/politics/trump…

@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump I don’t disagree. This issue is POTUS doesn’t like being disagreed with. This whole thing is his ego. He could have easily let it pass or defused the situation. Instead, he called the Pope a loser. Which set off Protestants vs Catholics.

@MBHanson265153 @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Yes. However, there should be a degree of humility in the laity to recognize the Pope usually knows more about theology and the correct application of the faith to events. In the same way we wouldn’t automatically disagree with a general on how to wage war during a conflict.

@ChristinaC10423 @dontsayrino @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump No, I just take my ques from Jesus, St Peter, St Paul, St Thomas Beckett, St Thomas More and many others who wouldn’t bend the knee to whatever political whim happened to be in style at any given time. The Church transcends modern political ideologies.

@dontsayrino @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump The same way he agrees to meet a lot of people. Even people who aren’t Catholic or have lapsed. I think practicing Catholics are hopelessly naive to think that their version of politics takes precedence over the actual faith, which transcends modern politics.

@AVCoachSmith @CGasparino @realDonaldTrump Yes, we all have a right to disagree. I happen to believe that the Pope is a very good, holy man, but I fear that he is hopelessly naive. How can he meet with Pritzker and Axelrod, and not understand how that is perceived by most practicing American Catholics?

@CGasparino @realDonaldTrump If that were the case, why did you write the piece? As soon as you say “As a Catholic” you’re trying to give yourself authority to speak on matters of the Church. But I, as a Catholic, have the right to disagree w/ you. Seeing as I have as much authority as you do on the Church

The media is part of the op to stoke a fight between Trump and the (intentionally very left) Pope as part of the overall plan to hijack the Catholic Church, bait division between the denominations, and loosen Christianity's hand on the rudder of the right.

While the Catholic Church teaches forgiveness, American Catholics may not extend mercy to President Trump over his attacks on Pope Leo XIV, some political observers said. abcnews.link/7oIHlar

The Pope meets regularly with people from pretty much every political flavor. Him meeting with someone doesn't mean he is in secret agreement with them.

I must resign from @KofC. I did not realize I was joining a partisan political organization. I will miss the fellowship and fish fries, for sure. So many good and decent men.
Knights of Columbus@KofC

Statement From Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly: In recent days, many Catholics and other people of goodwill have been deeply disappointed by the disparaging comments directed at Pope Leo XIV by the President of the United States. The Successor of Saint Peter is not a politician — he is the Vicar of Christ, entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and shepherding souls. The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction. At the same time, we recognize that faithful Catholics can and do engage vigorously in the public square, and that nations have a right and duty to safeguard the security of their own people — always in accordance with the demands of justice and the pursuit of peace. The Church does not ask Catholics to withdraw from civic life, but to engage with and elevate it — bringing to our civic dialogue the light of truth, respect for the dignity of every human person, and a steadfast concern for the common good. Pope Leo XIV has consistently called for peace, dialogue, and restraint in a world marked by war and suffering. The Holy Father’s words are not political talking points — they are reflections of the Gospel itself. Whether one agrees or disagrees with particular policy judgments, the Holy Father’s prophetic voice deserves to be heard with respect and engaged seriously. As Knights, we are called to be men of unity, as followers of Christ and patriotic citizens. I encourage all Knights of Columbus to pray for the Holy Father, to pray for civic leaders, and to pray for peace and those working to achieve it. And let us recommit ourselves to charity in our public discourse. May we be known not for echoing the divisions of our time, but for healing them. In a moment of tension, the path forward is not louder conflict, but deeper fidelity — to truth, to charity, and to the Gospel.

Has he demanded, with equal vociferousness, that Islamists stop killing Christians in Syria, parts of Africa, and elsewhere and for Muslims to peacefully live with Christians in Muslim-majority countries? Why is it always a demand of Christians but never of Muslims?
Open Source Intel@Osint613

Pope Leo says Muslims migrants should be allowed to stay in Europe and coexist with Christians, drawing mass criticism. "We all need to work together," the Pope said.

The Knights of Columbus have completely lost their minds. Calling Pope Leo the “Holy Father” is blasphemy, plain and simple. And pretending his words aren’t political talking points is laughable when the Pope keeps injecting himself into attacks on the Trump administration and America’s immigration policies. You people are disgracing the Catholic Church. The best thing you could do right now is keep your mouths shut and stay out of U.S. politics.
