@nofriendlyfetus I would love to talk with Cam about the abuse he experienced. Genuinely, I was not a party to it and I don't remember anything concerning or wrong. I am just one person though.

@ProudBavaria I accidentally clicked it the other day and was annoyed, then it took half a second to boot and close. I was impressed.

Struggling to come up with a good name for your game? Simply pair any word that represents your game with one of these suffixes: - borne - fall - keeper - bound - craft And boom, just like that you have a multi-million dollar game.

@OlexGameDev The bar to being more interesting/appealing than 80% of what gets put on Steam is extremely low as well.

Statistics has brainwashed devs to give up on reason. "Chance of a game succeeding on Steam is 1 in N, where N is a large number!" And the wailing begins. But wait, are you the average developer in that group? What were the chances of you becoming a good developer/designer? "No, no, I don't want to think and consider all angles. I want to cry about challenges!"

GAME DEVELOPERS ARE OFFICIALLY COOKED this guy vibe coded a full pixel pirate sailing game that runs in the browser with opus 4.8 you sail a ship, engage in naval combat, explore the open sea, and interact with other ships works on mobile too a few years ago this would have been a full indie studio project with a team of artists, a sound designer, and 6 months of development now it's one person with claude code and a weekend game studios charging $40 for pixel art games while vibecoders are shipping them for free in the browser the barrier to making real games is completely gone

@SadVampire1776 Obsession just had the best 3rd weekend box office since Jaws. If that's not groundbreaking then I don't know what is.

I will not watch either of these until the hype dies down. Feels like every year you have "groundbreaking" horror movies and they just turn out to be mid.
