@Amyish @taipan168 I can tell you that many of us who are personally impacted have relationships with some from the "other side" who are also impacted, we have sympathy for each other and a true desire for peace.
Those making the noise are normally not directly involved.

Please say “Shoah,” not “Holocaust.”
The latter has been emptied meaning by those who have erased the Jews from the story of their own genocide and made it about every bad thing the Nazis did.
The Shoah was the Nazi Genocide of six million Jews. Use our Hebrew word.

@ArnoldRimmer1 @disco___cat There’s also the ‘mooks and knights’ mentality in the right wing - where they don’t take responsibility for the bad ideas within their ranks. So it’s a ‘free speech’ thing - when they wouldn’t platform him if they didn’t think he would appeal to their base

@taipan168 I’m a short walk from a train station, shorter to a tram and many buses. Also short walk to two supermarkets and lots of local cafes bakeries, a library and op shops. My idea of heaven is the library and op shop proximity.

C'est moi. Except in my case, I live within walking distance of five train stations, six supermarkets, two light rail lines and more bus routes than I can count.

@JB__Oz @taipan168 Yea the calls for peace assume the other side should give up - which is not peace. Many calls for peace don’t offer solutions. :) sad. Yeah the frustrations are not excuse for where you align. We can always choose a better way but not for someone else

It's a great shame that there have only been angry protests and none for peace and coexistence.
