@Buster_ESPN It seems like the voters are the only ones who don’t want them in. If this was such a terrible offense, why do current players only serve a suspension when popped and not get banned for life? Put the best players in the HOF and have exhibits to explain controversial eras.

A great gesture of leadership would occur when current Hall of Famers who used PEDs -- greenies, steroids, whatever -- just came out and explained what they did and why. It would move the Hall to a place when it could finally acknowledge the reality of what happened in the industry for 20+ years -- rather than absurdly pretending that Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were outliers.

If you were emperor of college football, and could wave a wand and make it so, how would you structure the playoff process? All the anger over the way the committee arrived at the field of 12 is bad for the sport. CFB is supposed to be joyful and passionate, with highs and lows from what happens on the football field, not a hotel conference room. For now, a simple thing would be to go to 16 teams sooner rather than later. It's easier to argue why #17 and #18 shouldn't be in than to argue why #11 Notre Dame and #12 BYU should be left out. What do you think?

@FoulTerritoryTV @BNightengale In my opinion you put the best players in the game in the HOF. Make an exhibit explaining the steroid era, list the proven users. Let the public make their own call, but don’t leave the best players from an entire era out, especially if you’re going to let the ones you like in.

@ESPNCFB Too much credit is given to who Alabama was. They prepped well for Georgia, but other than that where was their body of work? Bad start at FSU, L to OU, beat a pretty good vandy team, but struggled with Auburn, then absolutely laid an egg in the SEC title game.

As is, bama out for getting whooped, ND behind Miami. The others should have been fighting for the 11 & 12 spots.

Dear College Football Fans, this is a safe space. Was the CFP Committee right to put Alabama in, flip Notre Dame and Miami without them playing a game and leave out BYU, Vanderbilt and Texas?

@espn Go to 32 teams, 5 weeks of playoffs, eliminate 1 game from the regular season, they all play too make cupcakes anyway, get rid of the 2nd bye week, everyone starts week 1. Don’t play a game in Ireland. Championship is New Year’s Day. Portal opens after signing day is same day.

Breaking: Notre Dame is withdrawing its name from consideration for a bowl game and will not play again this season. The decision comes after the Fighting Irish did not make the 12-team CFP.

@MLBNetwork @baseballhall @MLB I’m not sure I understand their criteria. Kent was a great player, one of the first power hitting 2B, but if you were to look back at the Giants from the early 00’s, you never would have assumed Kent was in the HOF before Bonds. And what about Dale Murphy, make it make sense.

@CBSSportsCFB Miami should absolutely be in over ND, but ND should be in over the G5 teams. The whole system is broken, because they make rules based on 1 year, then the next season doesn’t follow suit. This is the only sport that’s playoff system has no reasoning. No one knows how to get in!

It gets them use to being low to field the ball. Makes it near impossible to bend at the waist. This is definitely more of a fundamentals thing. Is now used in warmups 4 pros

@grant_purpura Alonso helps fill that 1B spot for the Yanks, but they need some different dynamics in their lineup. They seem to be very heavy on the big swingers. They could use an upgraded leadoff guy and some more speed and guys. 2 & 3 run HRs are better than a bunch of solo shots.

@BBGreatMoments Absolutely, Best defensive CF for at least a decade and a top tier hitter for 5-7 years. Youngest to hit a HR in a WS and hit two in that game. Nobody got better jumps on the ball than Andruw Jones.

They’re basically telling the catchers to catch with their arm fully extended. I remember watching guys in the 90 & ‘00s catch it as deep as possible to make it look like a K

This new fangled catching and this fake ass "stealing strikes" is causing this. One knee bullshit with no target. Trying to mess with the zone. Catchers lose where they are. Used to be they got close enough to the hitter to reach up & touch the back elbow. Not anymore @shegone03

Bobby cox sent Leo Mazzone to the mound so he could tell Greg Maddux to walk Luis Gonzalez. Mad Dog refused to do it, told Leo give me two pitches and I’ll make him pop up to 3b. Two pitches later, pop up to chipper jones at 3rd.
