@MidwesternDoc I was supposedly pre diabetic so I tried Ozempic for 2 weeks and didn't like the vomiting side effect. I told my Dr. no more drugs so she sent me to a nutritionist. I now eat healthy meals and snacks, no diet food just real food and I lost weight. Dr's should say no to Ozempic.

Bill Maher reveals what CEOs are privately concerned about with employees on Ozempic. MAHER: “I’ve been hearing this on the low for a while.” KARA SWISHER: "On the low. From who?" MAHER: “I’ll tell you after the show. Somebody [in Big Tech] you would know... He’s been hearing, and in his company also, they don’t like their employees on this stuff because—” KARA SWISHER: “Oh, they don’t work hard enough for the man?” MAHER: “They don’t. It takes away your craving for food and maybe substance abuse...” “...Also kind of for success, and sometimes for living and for being motivated. They get kind of logie.”🧵

@sandipantswtf Does anybody remember what happened the last time the housing market skyrocketed to out of touch prices? Who's buying these 400K+ houses, 1st timers? Why are foreclosures on the rise? Will we see another crash (or something close to it) like we did in 2008? Time will tell.

I’m 45 and I’m telling y’all these kids have it so much worse than I did. I bought a 3 bedroom house at 22 for $124k and I had dollar menus and 89 cent Circle K gasoline. I really don’t understand the deep desire many of you have to deny our current reality.
Darren@RogueDarren

Zoomers on here are like "I'm 27 and can't buy a $400k house or afford to spend $50 on doordash, the system is rigged!" Like kid, I had 2 roommates till 29, and then 1 till 33 when I bought my own house. Cooked and meal prepped 90% of what I ate for 20 years. Y'all are bitches

@ML3democrats This had nothing to do with political pressure. You can't justify Millions in losses without taking action which he probably would have done sooner if not for Colbert's contract (which probably had an astronomical buyout amount).

@M9558750394349 @jeremyct So, when you spoke to the town Assessor or Tax Collector what was the reason for your higher taxes? I don't know where you live but you have a right to an explanation or at the least a review or re-assessment.

@jeremyct My property taxes are 3 times what both my immediate neighbors pay even though they are the same houses and the same services. That is the unfairness of property taxes. Very uneven and almost completely random.

@End_Times_33 @aj_inapi Nearing retirement? The oldest boomers (80) retired YEARS ago. Thats precisely why social security is falling apart. Boomers range from 62-80 with the vast majority already retired. Heck, even 45% of those under 65 are retired, just not collecting SS yet.

I don't want to act like I know, only because I don't live in America. Why are boomers being vilified in America and more so in the West? I see a growing trend of this online.

Colbert got cancelled because CBS’ owner wanted to suck up to Trump. Over and over, billionaires are auctioning off our 1st Amendment. This isn’t about the rights of a TV host. It’s about all our rights to live in a country where the president doesn’t dictate who says what.

@ranathan81 @RalphCapocci @dubsndoo Wow, what a shame your attitude towards the older generations is what it is. My parents didn't talk a lot about the depression era when they were kids but we asked. We had love and respect whether we were in or out of the home. We were raised differently I guess.

@DebSeller @RalphCapocci @dubsndoo What kind of attitude do you suppose I should have Deb? Brush everything under the rug? Boomers are good at that too. Your parents were the ‘silent generation’ they spoke about themselves a lot too. “Kids are to be seen, not heard” remember that?

@DebSeller @RalphCapocci @dubsndoo No Deb, that’s a lie. Not only do we know because we were raised by boomers, we know because our parents talked about themselves growing up, incessantly. All they are talking about is themselves and all they ever care about is themselves.

I pay $500 a month for health insurance. My deductible is $6,000. That means I pay $6,000 a year just to have insurance. Then $6,000 more before it actually kicks in. That’s $12,000 out of pocket before insurance saves me a single dollar. I am not insured. I am pre-bankrupted.

@DebSeller @GOP_is_Gutless @Sinnersaint39 I'm very concerned. My family owns property that's been in our family for 150 years, and the imported, transplant commies want to steal private property. Eastern Washington shouldn't be part of the same State as the West side, that much is obviously true.

Seattle’s proudly communist mayor just got a brutal reality check — and she still doesn’t seem to get it. Amazon, the company that literally built modern Seattle, is shutting down its Amazon Fresh stores across the city after years of investment and expansion. One of the richest corporations on Earth is walking away from its own backyard with almost no notice. Employees blindsided. Neighborhoods losing grocery access. Empty storefronts spreading. The mayor had publicly promised that grocery chains “would not be allowed” to abandon communities. Amazon closed anyway. This isn’t just about groceries. It’s about what happens when a city makes itself too expensive, too hostile, and too unpredictable for the very businesses that power it. Amazon didn’t fail Seattle. Seattle’s leadership failed Seattle. When the economic engine starts quietly packing up and leaving, the excuses run out fast. Is this the beginning of a larger exodus, or just one company making a smart business decision? Drop your thoughts below 👇 #Seattle #Amazon #SeattlePolitics #BusinessExodus #UrbanDecline #WashingtonState

@alexchristy17 A lot of "normal" people want nothing to do with Democrats idea of kitchen table issues. Who the heck sits around a table with family and talks about these things, certainly no one I know.

Yesterday, Eugene Daniels, whom MS NOW technically considers a reporter, reacts to the Democrats' autopsy by saying the party "should be more comfortable with the idea of power" and urges them to talk more about abortion and transing kids "When you talk about whether or not people can have access to healthy abortions—safe abortions, that is a kitchen table issue, right? Whether or not a trans kid can get the services they need, that is a kitchen table issue for families."

@EdCSutton Wait, I thought because early voting had already started that if a new map was put in place it would be for the 2026 Midterms, not the primaries.

Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would be called into special session over Memorial Day weekend and have to argue that military members and their spouses deserve to have their votes counted after they already cast their ballots. But here we are. South Carolina is trying to rush through new congressional maps while the election process is already underway. Military and overseas voters followed the rules. They requested their ballots. They voted. They sent them back. Now, because politicians want to change the maps at the last minute, those voters could have their ballots thrown out through no fault of their own. That is unacceptable. I have an amendment that says if the congressional primaries are moved to August, those military and overseas voters should automatically receive a new ballot for the new primary. That should not be controversial. But apparently, some folks are fighting me on it. Some days it feels like I am living in the upside down. It is Memorial Day weekend, and I am having to fight to protect the voting rights of the very people serving our country. If we say we support our veterans, our military members, and their families, then we should start by making sure their votes count. Standing strong. Holding the line.

Boomers didn’t buy RVs that they couldn’t afford, we tented it. Boomers didn’t buy new cars, we bought used ones. Boomers didn’t spend six bucks for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Boomers could hang all their clothes in a four foot closet. Boomers didn’t cry how tough their lives were, we fought through the tough times. Boomers have everything they have because they managed their money, didn’t squander it on frivolous things, and invested it in proven technologies and long term successful businesses. Boomers have zero fucks to give for whiners, fools, and couch potatoes.
