got my first client. a private institute needed a full test platform built from scratch. I said yes. Backend MVP is done. Frontend starts now. Documenting everything publicly Here's the full architecture 👇

@Navi_B1ad3 @TeamVitality Maybe it wasn’t just your performance on the day. If you need 150%–200% to beat the best, maybe it’s time to rethink the roster.

We were a bit too "shy" today, 0–3 in the final. Still proud of our run over the last 3 weeks. Respect to @TeamVitality world-class team. Always a privilege to face them. We’ll learn from this. Thank you everyone for all the support.

your experience with claude code (or any AI model really) changes a lot when you build things step by step instead of asking for everything at once.. this is where most people struggle when they say AI doesn’t work well for them.. build things incrementally and guide the agent: that’s basically what real software engineering is turning into..

really think on this agentic era, github desktop is underrated.. literally gives a clean full diff of the things you are about to commit.. claude code + github desktop is the wombo combo

@chribjel @axeng200 @LukeParkerDev I mean, it can’t be fixed. It can be reduced by increasing model width, but at some point you’ll reach the limit, and the model still can confidently hallucinate.

@louannkelly2 @amitsinha_9 @CENTCOM It will likely, but will the cost be so high that it’s worth it long term? If the cost of protecting ships through the chokepoints is higher than the alternative route, then it’s not really worth it.

@mehulmpt You will actually have to give it the context, like «use Zod and fetch»

Daily reminder: Yes, I love working with Opus 4.6. No, it will not replace your job as a developer. This is Opus 4.6 working on MAX /effort, trying to fetch a JSON file and manually validating it after this, when we already have a zod schema and "fetch".

Many talented people over the past few years were declined an offer or even an interview @xAI. My apologies. @BarisAkis and I are going through the company interview history and reaching back out to promising candidates.

@beffjezos xAI was not built right first time around, so is being rebuilt from the foundations up. Same thing happened with Tesla.

@neogoose_btw I mean, if you think about it, everything is wrappers around technical stuff. The idea is to make it simple for non-technical users.

@thdxr I’ve found Opus is easier to work with and produces better results because it makes the right assumptions, with very good memory. Codex would use the same dialog component two places, but take a different approach to the dialog footer in each, which is odd and inconsistent.

codex is by far a better coding model than opus - anyone who knows anything understands this but the whole industry should reflect on why opus is the most popular people assume whatever is the smartest will win but the old rules of product are still what determine everything

Elon Musk thinks coding dies this year. Not evolves. Dies. By December, AI won’t need programming languages. It generates machine code directly. Binary optimized beyond anything human logic could produce. No translation. No compilation. Just pure execution. Musk: “You don’t even bother doing coding.” Code was never the point. It was friction. A tax we paid because machines didn’t speak human. AI just learned fluent human. The tax is gone. Now plug that into Neuralink. No syntax. No keyboard. No screen. Musk: “Imagination-to-software.” Thought becomes executable. You imagine an outcome, the system architects and compiles it into reality instantly. We’re not automating programming. We’re erasing it from existence. The entire profession collapses into a thought. Decades of training reduced to irrelevance. The gap between idea and instantiation hits zero. You don’t build anymore. You imagine, and it materializes. Not incremental progress. Total phase shift. The way humans have created things for ten thousand years just became obsolete. Welcome to a world where the limiting factor isn’t skill, resources, or time. It’s whether you can picture what you want clearly enough for a machine to birth it into existence.

@RyanCarniato I'm still skeptical. AI writes tests that pass but miss edge cases I'd catch manually. The real test is whether it catches bugs in production, not whether it speeds up the green-red-refactor cycle.

When you call a React Query mutation in a React Hook Form onSubmit function, you want to return mutateAsync. Otherwise, RHF doesn't know when your mutation failed, and isSubmitSuccessful will be `true` even after an error.
