@ery_shim @danno_omen If the reviewer doesn't finish the game because it's bad, that's one thing. If it's because it's too boring that's fair. If it's because they can't be arsed to do their job, that's an issue.

Well apparently saying a professional reviewer should finish a games campaign before scoring it is a very controversial take. What say you?

I don't think you're making a different point than me. If that reflects the experience the average person will get, then it's valid. If you just sample the first 10% of a game because that's how much time you've been given to review it, then it doesn't represent anything. Especially since the earlier parts of a game are usually in the best shape.

@GendoWasRight @danno_omen The average person is going to play until they get bored or frustrated. I would trust a reviewer so much more if they said "even though I got this game for free to review, I just couldn't finish the tutorial so I submitted a request for a refund."

There's currently a debate on Japanese social media around if all UI elements should be translated from English. Most Japanese gamers know enough English to navigate through menus. Some also argue that "You are dead" looks and sounds better than あなたは死亡しました.

I can not understand what the big deal is with pasteurization? It's literally just heating milk for a set time then rapidly cooling it No chemicals, no high tech equipment, it's just heated milk

Props to Portable Mode for putting in this time. Playing Doom 2016 with Boost Mode off and on dropped battery life by just over an hour. @GendoWasRight @KirPinkFury Xbox has been enhancing old games performance since they started doing Backwards Compatibility back in the Xbox One era, then started adding FPS Boost to old games since 2020.
