Wrong again, I suddenly dont care about soccer because my country is no longer participating. Why do you want us to be angry about losing? I support my country but at the end of the day its a game played for fun, we lost which means our fun is over. It genuinely just doesn’t matter.

Its not at all the same thing. I watch because I care about my country not because I care about soccer. Just like I watched a Twilight movie with my girl because I care about her, not because I give a fuck about twilight. I can give you hundreds more examples but its clear you’re just upset because we don’t care that we lost and you want us to be angry.

Huh I wasn’t aware that changed. That doesn’t change the fact that basketball and football have much more established pro leagues here and far better development pipelines to the professional game than soccer does. I doubt very many people growing up dreaming of playing in the MLS.

Americans seemingly can’t understand the idea of god-given talent. The two greatest footballers of all time were Maradona and Messi (5’5 and 5’7). Being 6’5 and benching 185kg isn’t going to give you a better centre forward 🤣

Like I said, we watch things to support our country whether we really care about it or not, and most of us don’t really care about soccer. Obviously it would’ve been nice if they won, but its just not a very big deal to most of us that they didn’t. What about that specifically is hard to understand? Let me know and I’ll try to clear it up for you.

@GoIdenBay @AaronBastani If more Americans played soccer, they'd realise that size/strength is not the defining factor. It's as much (probably more) about agility, tactical nous and teamwork.

Not only are these more popular here, but they have much established domestic leagues and far better pipelines to reach the professional level than soccer does here. If someone in the US is a great athlete at a young age, it simply doesn’t make much sense for them to pursue soccer.

I quite literally said “more popular sports HERE” as in the country of the United States of America. I acknowledge that most of the world doesn’t give a fuck about American football, that doesn’t make it any less popular in America and thus a bigger draw for young athletes instead of soccer. Same with basketball, baseball, hell even hockey.

We’re behind anything sports related at the time its happening. Hockey is a great example, I know a lot of people that don’t give a fuck about it but they still watched the gold medal game and were happy we won. Obviously we’d be happy if we won because thats our team, but most of us don’t really care if we don’t because we don’t pay attention to soccer. If you can’t accept that then thats on you.
