@sdonahu2 @overton_news “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President”. Mitch McConnell , National Journal, October 2010. Sound familiar, Sarah?
English

No one needs to love a President. You need to love your country and want the best for it. That means allowing your President to enact the agenda the people voted for and to have wins for our country. What the Democrats have said out loud is they do not want our President to have wins—which means they do not want our country to win. That is simply not ok. Every person in the Government needs to first care about country, the partisan bs needs to cease. The Dems are doing nothing for our citizens by continuously attacking the President. Love the USA enough to put country and our people first.

JOE ROGAN: “As much as people hate Trump, and hate his decisions, and hate what he’s doing, and hate how he talks...”
“My experiences with him personally, have always been fun, unfortunately. Unfortunately for everybody else.”
“If he likes you and you’re on his good side, he’s a fun guy to be around. He says a lot of fun sh*t.”
“The f*cking man loves America. He genuinely does.”
“He really does. Like he wants to make the White House look better. He wants to build this ballroom because he wants...”
“Like he has good intentions in terms of America.”
“It’s just, there is not a single f*cking person that’s ever taken the job of the president of the United States that’s loved by everybody.”
English

@overton_news Rogan is hardly an arbiter of taste, intelligence or patriotism. His idea of fun is sitting around with folks with conspiracy theories or talking out his ass, which he does frequently.

@AugieNash Bullpen has not been great past couple of games. Stanek was brutal tonight.

This is a scandal WAY bigger than Watergate.
@CNN, @MSNOWNews, @NBCNews, @ABC, @PBS — it's past time to cover this.
People died from the COVID shot because the government lied to them, yet the legacy media refuses to report on this story.

Trump dropped an absolute bombshell yesterday. The media focused on him saying "I love the inflation." But did you hear the Venezuela raid-sized news he announced AFTER THAT?
The U.S. military has been secretly taking millions of barrels of oil OUT of the Strait of Hormuz in a massive operation. Not even Iran knew this. Everyone thought the tankers were just sitting there. THEY WEREN'T. That's why oil prices didn't reach deadly levels. That's why gas prices are dropping.
This is one of the most impressive military operations I’ve ever heard about. So why announce it to the world now? Why not let it keep going in secret? Here's my guess: It was a massive poker move against Iran, showing them that they have NO LEVERAGE, it let China know that America still controls the seas, and it let the American people know that Trump has a plan and it's WORKING.
That sure sounds like America First to me.

@BrilynHollyhand Better to keep your mouth shut and let the world think you are a fool than open it and remove all doubt.

@NormOrnstein He’s not qualified to talk about it but he is going to talk about it.

@RealRobReinhart Did not happen. Lies is all Trumper’s have. Release the Epstein files

Jalen Brunson on how Donald Trump’s presence at MSG will impact Game 3:
“They canceled all of the watch parties outside…fans can watch at home or whatever, I don’t care. I’ll be on the court playing as hard as I can for my president. He represents every Knicks’ fans’ beliefs. He embodies what it means to be a New Yorker.”

English

@CarmineSabia Sorry but I do not respect lying, unethical, treasonous, corrupt, felonious rich boys. No need to be jealous of a woman who is braver than you are. Release the Epstein files.

This is what psychopath Kristin Welker looked like talking to the President of the United States. Maybe if she showed some respect people would respect her.

Jake Tapper 🦅@jaketapper
That is some wild, unhinged stuff from the President. Welker is a good person and honest journalist and didn’t deserve that but more importantly we have a president who constantly pushes conspiracy theories with zero evidence and can’t respond when politely challenged on that.
English

@DawnsMission Actually every American is waiting for him to utter a truthful sentence. So far, no luck.
English

🚨 President Trump just did what every real American has been waiting for. He dropped the mic, walked off the interview with Kristen Welker, and refused to waste another second.
At this point it is not worth President Trump’s time to meet with these reporters. I am happy that he ended the interview. All she did is ask for evidence of cheating which is so overwhelmingly obvious that a person with a 3rd grade education would know better.
Shame on the press for being complicit.

@HedgerMark @johnrabe 100%, especially with it being both lefties. Crooks hasn’t earned it yet either.

@johnrabe @HedgerMark To be fair crooks did avoid the double play

@Buccigross Why not try it? Because America has too many stupid people (Rogan included) who are too willing to believe any conspiracy theory and discount science.
English

Rogan is all over the place politically (rare in "journalism"), is genuinely curious, and has more hours of interviews than probably anyone in America. Plus, he'd bring a different TV demographic. Why not try it? If it doesn't work, move on.

When I was with the St. Louis Cardinals, we had a team meeting about hitting with two strikes.
Albert Pujols was leading it.
At the time, he was hitting something ridiculous with two strikes.
I want to say it was around .265.
Naturally, everyone wanted to know how.
So somebody asked:
"What's your two-strike approach?"
Albert's answer surprised me.
He said:
"I think fastball inside and hit it back through the middle."
That was it.
No complicated mechanics.
No secret formula.
Just:
Fastball inside.
Back through the middle.
I remember sitting there thinking:
"Why would you think fastball inside with two strikes?"
So somebody asked him.
And Albert said something I'll never forget.
He said:
"If I can hit a fastball inside back through the middle..."
"I can hit the fastball away."
"I can stay on the changeup."
"I can stay on the slider."
"I can stay on the curveball."
Then he paused.
And said:
"The ball gets deeper."
That's when it clicked for me.
He wasn't trying to pull the inside fastball.
He was using one thought to cover everything.
The more I thought about it...
The more it made sense.
So I started trying it.
And it changed the way I thought about hitting with two strikes.
Instead of worrying about every pitch...
I focused on one.
Fastball inside.
Back through the middle.
See it DEEP.
If you're struggling with two strikes, here's what I'd do tonight:
Round 1: Short Box
(Set the distance somewhere between front toss and batting practice.)
Have a coach throw only fastballs inside.
Your only thought:
"Fastball inside."
Drive the ball back through the middle.
10 swings.
Round 2: Mix Speeds
Now the coach mixes:
- Fastballs
- Changeups
- Breaking balls
- Sliders
But your thought never changes.
You're still looking:
"Fastball inside."
10 swings.
Round 3: Two-Strike BP
Every pitch starts 0-2.
Compete.
Battle.
Use the same approach.
"Fastball inside."
Back through the middle.
10 swings.
That's it.
30 focused swings.
One thought.
One approach.
One goal.
Drive the baseball back through the middle.
One thing I've learned:
Most hitters get worse with two strikes because they add thoughts.
Albert got better because he removed them.
With two strikes, simplicity is a weapon.
Thank you for reading,
Jermaine Curtis

Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Whatever [the next outbreak] is, we ain’t ready for it. We still have anti-vaxxers running around.”
“I don’t trust scientists. I saw a YouTube video, so I’m not going to take it.” (mocking)
“I don’t want you to ever forget this story.”
“20,000 years ago, we’re in the cave. Do you know what the life expectancy was?”
Shannon Sharpe: “10 years? 15 years?”
Neil deGrasse Tyson: “30. Half of everyone born was dead before they were 30.”
Shannon Sharpe: “Wow!!!”
Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Fast forward to 1840… everyone born in the world was dead by the age of 35. We gained five years of life expectancy. And every one of them ate organic, breathed clean air… Science matters here.”
“We’ve doubled the life expectancy with antibiotics, vaccines, and sanitation. The three biggest forces operating on our longevity. So to come around and say I don’t need vaccines because I’m not getting sick, that’s like saying, why are you using dandruff shampoo? You don’t have dandruff.”
Shannon Sharpe: “Well, I don’t want to get it.”
Neil deGrasse Tyson: “That’s my point. If you’re successful, people think you don’t need it when that’s what’s creating the ongoing success in the first place.”
