Another project Mullin should focus on is blocking the millions of dollars being spent to acquire 737 luxury jets to deport illegal aliens. Illegals don’t need and they certainly don’t deserve to be deported on luxury aircraft. Additionally, the 737 contract was awarded to someone with close ties to Noem, making the legitimacy of the contract questionable at best. More cuts that would be helpful both fiscally and politically to DHS @DHSgov include attempting to divert funds from makeshift ICE @ICEgov detention centers like warehouses, and instead awarding them to facilities that are already built to house criminals. Taking these steps to reform current spending at DHS will provide less fodder for elected Democrats to attack the Trump administration over if the Democrats take back the House in 2026.
