Most people don't realize but Americans only pay Social Security taxes on income under $184,500. What that means is anyone that makes over that stops paying Social Security at $184,501. If the Social Security earnings cap were removed they would have enough money for universal health care.

That was not a black man. The bus was hitting a young Hispanic man. The driver was so enraged that he beat on a guy two times smaller than him; I think he has some anger issues himself. Of course, spitting in someone’s face (but the post doesn’t say where he was spit on) is a reason for someone to get beat on. Everybody was yelling at him to stop, so I’d go with what the people around who saw the event are saying.

Calling fair representation ‘disenfranchisement’ simply because districts are no longer engineered around race is exactly why Americans are exhausted with identity politics. There are no ‘Black districts.’ There are American districts. Citizens vote. Communities evolve. People move. Coalitions form naturally. The idea that Black Americans can only be politically represented through racially engineered maps is itself deeply insulting. It assumes Black citizens cannot persuade, organize, compete, or influence outside segregated political boundaries. That mindset keeps racial division alive because certain politicians profit from grievance instead of outcomes. Tennessee voters are saying representation should be based on citizens and constitutional districts… not permanent racial sorting systems designed decades ago for political control. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove
