If Alonso does come in are we switching to a 3-5-2? Seems to be his preference. If so, what’s the chances of Grimaldo coming in? From memory, statistically he was an absolute animal at Leverkusen under him in that LWB role (frimpong the other side was lethal too) Transfermarkt saying; 32 g/a in 51 in 2023/24 I think?? Poor 2024/25 But last season 26 g/a in 44 last season?? That’s absolutely ridiculous if so.

This is the day PSG became dangerous. They had a method with which they thought could conquer Europe. They realized it wouldn't work and ripped it apart. They started a more sensible project. Gave a proven manager immense power build a team. Sack players he didn't want, bring in players he wanted and boom! A UCL semi final and back to back finals in three years. No shame in departing from a system that has never worked before and doing the basic things. Incredible job by Luis Campos and Luis Enrique. Meanwhile, Arsenal also did something similar. Even though Arteta didn't have the track record, they gave him immense power once they decided to hire him. It's taken a while but see what he's built.

@objective_cfc Not sure he’s got the swagger for it but absolutely should be ahead of Marco Silva. Probably a better fit for the squad than Iraola too Wouldn’t be bowled over but would be way more open to it than the others. XA still the one though imo

Filipe Luis credentials are underrated imo - Flamengo is a highly expectant environment - League winners - South American CL winner - Ex player status (not massive) I think there are some issues with coaching license but name should be firmly in their imo I’ve liked the way he comes across in interviews Not my number one, but for me, should be in and around the conversation much more so than some other names flying around
