@opinali @WobblingP You don't have to pay for RetroArch shaders. You'd be happier with a $100 mini PC and emulators if nothing else about the Tink products make sense for your gaming goals.

@WobblingP I hate to be that guy (cheap) but.. any hope this level of CRT simulation can be possible without dedicated HW? I would pay $50 for a Windows app/mod that does this, but $750 is >10X above my level of interest for retrogaming which is already above the average.

@LudvigInSpace @FBXGargoyle cbvs blending: use comp. source and don't use opimal sampling. there's even red bleed and RGB convergence offsets. tldr we're getting really to recreating the look of a CRT. if you haven't seen it in person you might not know how close the 4k has gotten.

@FBXGargoyle Disturbing, propaganda? What are you talking about? The crt filters/masks so far today do an ok job of painting out a seemingly natural crt grid. But they don't mix neighbouring colors the way a composit signal does, which most retro games were developed for. I guess Im a shill.

If you see comments crapping on features like this, think about why and who's mouth they are coming out of. There's a disturbing clique of shills out there that bought into propaganda, while at the same time wanting every feature Mike & others implement ported over. 🥸
