@dancooketrades Indeed. Works great in choppy conditions, too. When IB is choppy, lunchbox to the rescue. 😃

$ES takes PWL but that would've been a tough hold for IB runners or 30min ORB on an OpEx Friday. The IBL break was close, so it made sense to take it all off. A reload at 1st FVG rebalance or IB midpoint could've worked well & kept risk tight.

@coatesy76 No, definitely not. I only drop down when the 5min isn't obvious and IB is approaching close. It's always best when the 5min FVG jumps off the screen at me. Unfortunately, that's not always the case. Also, the higher the timeframe, the more I expect a price reaction from the FVG.

@PatternProfits Thanks so much for the response! Do you feel the one minute FVG's have the same impact as five minute FVG's? Do you treat them the same?

The traders having the most success right now are the ones that took ideas, concepts or data & then put in the work to make strategies uniquely their own. I can tell where each of them may enter/exit, but not one of them does it the same as the other. They earned their rewards!

Hey, Ben. Majority of the time I'm on 5min. Yesterday, I was on the 1min because where IB was set to close at 10:30 was very close to the midpoint. Compare that to a day like today where it was quite obvious that price was going to close well below the IB midpoint. I also had to drop down to the 1min yesterday to find the 1st FVG after 10am because none had printed on the 5min as IB was getting set to close. Again, today it was very obvious on the 5min timeframe.

Im still early in my journey and have tons to learn. You have to learn from the right people and stay away from the shinny objects. Those aren’t real those are meant to grab your attention and negate your focus elsewhere. At the end of the day trading is finding what works for you, being disciplined, and doing that same thing over and over. Sure you can tweak it but stay in your lane. I’ll tell you what step one is for a newer trader, unfollow every account, that is posting 6 figure gains everyday/week and find relatable people to follow that gives out clear and easily digestible content/trading gems.

@SHANKAR709 There's nothing more that I can do that I haven't already done. It's up to you to put in the work & screen time. Run backtests in replay. Which prints 1st the high or low? Where does IB close in relation to the midpoint? Price vs 1st FVG after 10am? Up to you now to get to work!

Of note, all my marked TBL is higher not lower. IB low would be the only target on the downside if that's how IB sets up.
