Ability to do the job is actually only part of what employers screen for. They’re looking just as much at cultural fit, likely longevity in the position, personal interest, whether you’ll get restless and start demanding promotions or raises, etc.

I really wish that America's bourgeoisie revolutionaries would think through the consequences should they be successful. The US, is, in fact, a pretty good place to live and (with certain notable exceptions) has been a net positive influence on the world. The US as a failed state would be a pretty shitty place to live and leave a damaging gap in the international order. And your imagined socialist utopia is just not going to happen.
