@LegacyGrower @Ericcannavet the large farms that can produce more yield with slightly less quality would flourish. there is a MASSIVE market for less potent 'more traditional' cannabis effects. the budget hemp flower market is massive.

@Ericcannavet If legalized federally means have them compete on an actual free market that has farmers markets/craft grows and let the chips fall where they may, I would imagine the larger ones would disappear over time.

FDA approval will not save psychedelics. Insurance codes will not save psychedelics. $800 clinical sessions in medical offices will not save psychedelics. What will "save" them — and what will actually change people — is the same thing that worked for the last 10,000 years. Small groups, with serious commitments, & real ordeals. Microcults, built on purpose, and most importantly, built ethically. Built to finish what modernity started and abandoned. That's the work.

@ExecutiveRafe @rushicrypto they already get bought up by big cannabis i'd rather keep the 'hemp' laws we had or just go with descheduling and buy bulk for dirt cheap from large farms that breed for yield instead of potency. i like my cheap mids, i don't need to be a zombie

@UsingLyft try, but the real issue is the systemic exploitation of labor by the capitalist class, not some mythical gendered difference in work ethic. keep pretending the problem is smaller than it is.

Higher potency isn't an excuse to use government to prevent people from consuming it. If it were legalized, teens would have a harder time getting it. Street dealers don't check for ID.
etta rufus@EttaRufus

@jeffcharlesjr He’s not wrong tho with the potency . How high do you wanna be? The higher content does yield problems and teens are using it morning noon and night .

In general, Israel's media and public are shockingly ill-informed about modern Iran. Iranians are also not well-informed about Israel although they fare better. Not a good situation for two countries at war.

@cantripguy we have legal cannabis right now and the world hasn't ended. farm bill loophole 2018 showed big money how easily they can mass produce semi synthetics and make n absolute fortune off the tiniest amounts you have time to stop the farm bill changes & keep it legal you start now🤣

@BullSyndicate @SenTomCotton have you considered you have a family history of schizophrenia and you were born too late to be part of the erowid generation that actually read about drug safety and was told to NOT partake if they have this condition in the family? why should we be punished for your condition?

Marijuana today is much more potent than just ten or twenty years ago, leading to increased psychosis, anti-social behavior, and fatal car crashes. Arkansans don’t want more dangerous drugs obtained more easily. A change to marijuana’s drug classification is a step in the wrong direction.

@AnnabethUnbound @AntSpeaks if the rational part of the brain doesn't mature until 25 then we shouldn't be able to vote until 25, after passing a test proving we aren't voting based on memes and propaganda because the part of the brain that knows the difference isn't fully developed yet!

That's because 16 is a child. The human brain is not developed until you're 25. You don't even finish growing until 18. Your wisdom teeth don't erupt until you're post 19-20. Virtually all post 18. Therefor you're not an adult until you're 18 at a generous minimum. Realistically 20.

As a man in his 30s, I cannot comprehend how someone my age or even several years younger can feel any attraction to a 16 year old girl, let alone go through with having sexual intercourse with her. It may be legal in the UK, but a 16 year old 99% of the time still looks like a child. To me, it’s instantly noticeable, no matter how much makeup they wear or how they dress. I think some people have this idea that teenagers look like they do in teen dramas like the show Euphoria, not realising that 90% of the cast playing teenagers are in their mid to late 20s and sometimes even early 30s. At the end of the day, just because something is legal doesn’t make it morally right. There’s a reason we have the concept of adulthood. It’s supposed to come with the maturity to recognise when someone is still fundamentally a child, regardless of what the law says.

@Snake_With_Feet @rwlesq this would be true if it wasnt a volunteer military... usually those things happen when service is forced on people and they feel like it's for nothing. volunteers already accepted the low pay and bad food in exchange for doing cool things with big guns

@rwlesq You have a lot more to fear from a military coup than you do from any “bourgeois revolutionaries.” We already had a scare last year where the troops weren’t getting paid. It will keep happening until the troops take matters into their own hands—and there’s your failed state.

I really wish that America's bourgeoisie revolutionaries would think through the consequences should they be successful. The US, is, in fact, a pretty good place to live and (with certain notable exceptions) has been a net positive influence on the world. The US as a failed state would be a pretty shitty place to live and leave a damaging gap in the international order. And your imagined socialist utopia is just not going to happen.
Matthew Yglesias@mattyglesias

It also all seems incredibly fake, like he’s a comfortable Twitch streamer and niche internet celebrity not an underground revolutionary. God forbid people in the audience don’t get that it’s all a joke and actually head out and do crimes.

Nobody is telling you how FUCKED the internet situation actually is right now. Iran just published a map of every undersea internet cable running through the Strait of Hormuz. 97 percent of global internet traffic rides on undersea cables. Now watch the domino effect: → One cable cut: regional slowdown → Three cables cut: partial Gulf internet blackout → Five cables cut: Gulf banking, cloud, trading, e-commerce OFFLINE → Seven cables cut: the Gulf loses its position as a digital trade hub OVERNIGHT THE MATH: Gulf digital economy: over $1,800,000,000,000 per year. Cost to drag an anchor across 7 cables: functionally zero. Time to repair: weeks, if repair ships are even allowed in. This is not a connectivity issue. This is a sovereign risk event hiding behind a connectivity issue. If you have Gulf-exposed assets, bookmark this. Come back in 30 days. I’ll keep sharing updates. Turn on notifications, this is VERY important.

Under the decisive leadership of @POTUS, this Department of Justice is delivering on his promise to improve American healthcare. This includes: • Immediately rescheduling FDA-approved marijuana and state-licensed marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule IIl • Ordering a new, expedited hearing with set deadlines, to fully reschedule marijuana These actions will enable more targeted, rigorous research into marijuana's safety and efficacy, expanding patients' access to treatments and empowering doctors to make better-informed healthcare decisions.
