A LOT of pressure on Frank Reich’s shoulders this year to maximize this offense, and nothing in his recent track record suggests he will do it. Obviously hope that he turns back the clock ala 2015 Chan Gailey but I wish I could say I was more confident.

@JakeAsmanShow Of course we all know he will not be QB1. He was drafted to be long term back-up if he can effectively hold down that role. Good pick for that purpose as he is dual threat.

Jets GM Darren Mougey learned a valuable lesson lesson today. Let the Draft Come to You Went to 110 for Cade Klubnik QB Clemson. Gave up Picks 128 / 140 for Picks 110 / 199. Klubnik wasn’t going prior to 128. Fortunately? Learned this lesson in the 4th Round. Not night 1.

@JetCastPod Only burned one pick. There was good intelligence that another team (Tampa Bay) was going to pick Klubnik for their back up. Rather than let Klubnik go they traded up to stop that from happening. Jets have “loved” him for last 2 college yrs

Still processing the Klubnik pick. The Jets traded up 18 spots in the 4th to get him, which to me is the part I am stuck on. They didn't just take a QB. They moved up to get him specifically. So I'm trying to figure out what he is to this team. Backup? Developmental project? Actual competition for competition sake? Curious where you guys land. Why "burn" 2 picks for him?

Would’ve enjoyed the Klubnik pick much more as a dart throw in Round 6 vs trading up in Round 4 Regardless, he immediately becomes the best QB in Jets history to wear #2

His offense line was poor. He had an ankle and quad injury. WR inconsistency. His 2024 season was elite. The QBs in this draft after Mendoza are all projects and like most qbs need to find the right system. He is very athletic. 4.5 forty couldn’t use that last year because of an ankle and a quad injury. I did my research and I watched him play. Obviously with no QB being picked since, they felt comfortable going after him and worried someone felt the same.
