For anyone worried that DLSS 5 will alter the artistic intent of a game, here is the FAQ from the official NVIDIA forum. Devs will have the ability to tune intensity, color, and masking to determine where/how the enhancements are applied to maintain the art style of the game.

@unikoshardware Exactly, this should be a balancing act between CCDs. It won't get huge gains but it will fix the power balance between the chiplets, of course AMD and Intel are releasing these "refreshes" just to fill the voice till next gen SKUs arrive later or early next year.

for 9950x3d, due to the "nature" that the ccd1 tends to have higher frequency boost (voltage as well), it could eat into the frequency headroom of ccd0 when it comes to pbo/bclk oc.
afaik, currently only asus offers a bios option called “per core boost clock limit” that can manually prevent ccd1 from interfering with ccd0.
so this dual x3d ccd 9950x3d2 may turn the tables, because the ccd1 now shouldnt be boosting that high thanks to the second x3d.

DLSS5 will not be widely implemented in the next 10 years. Be advised that the Gaming segment is very different from server-side, it is extremely hard to optimize. DLSS5, in contrast of any other previous DLSS, consumes more computing power rather than saving it.

Context is important too. It puts additional levers into the artists' hands. Whether or not those tools get abused is another matter altogether since evidently this runs the risk of AI Slop being pushed even more broadly into games.
