Seriously, I think I've never seen such a stupid idea from a smart person as this idiocy from the mayor of Denver. It not only wouldn't help the current problem (excessive costs causing restaurants to close down), it would exacerbate it massively. Far more restaurants would fail. I think the blowback will be immediate and massive and the mayor will back away from this nonsense within a few days. But it does go to show that even a smart leftist is still economically stupid. And I say that as someone who likes @MikeJohnstonCO personally, and I do think he's smart, but lots of smart people have areas in which they are ignorant, and clearly economics is that for Mike. #Denver #copolitics @KOAColorado
