@Keir_Starmer @GordonBrown Is that the same guy who sold all our gold? ๐
English

Today Iโm pleased to appoint @GordonBrown as my Special Envoy on Global Finance and Cooperation.
As Britainโs longest-serving Chancellor, Gordon is well placed to work with our international allies to build a stronger Britain and boost our countryโs security and resilience.

@JackWDart Is this a parody account?
Itโs bloody hilarious, thanks for the giggles mate ๐

@Marktomo771 @IanByrneMP @Cal841486421 I didnโt. I like all their other policies too. Reform U.K. are the only party who will save the country
English

@IanByrneMP @Cal841486421 Lets face it, majority of people who have voted for reform have done it based on immigration and cultural issues but you've not mentioned it at all and until you and others realise you can't pretend its not there, you'll just end up on the losing side again. I didn't vote btw!

For the avoidance of doubt, I am completely opposed to Labour having a leadership challenge and will support Keir Starmer if there was such an election. I don't think there will be one in any case.
We do need to listen to voters on speeding up delivering change, especially on the cost of living.
Following the Tories down the path of constant coups against PMs would make the country politically and economically weaker and less stable at a time of intense strategic danger.
Labour moving to the left would have exactly the same disastrous results as every other time we tried it.

Proud of Team @redbridgelabour, our outstanding leadership team @KamRai7 @vanisha_solanki and our brilliant organiser @__morts__.
After a particularly nasty and divisive campaign, the Redbridge Independents came away with just four councillors in Ilford North.
Redbridge Council@RedbridgeLive
The count has now concluded and the number of seats held by each political party is as follows: Labour: 43 seats Redbridge Independents: 9 seats Green Party - 5 seats Conservative Party - 5 seats Reform - 1 seat Full results: orlo.uk/9bczr

A holocaust denier is now an elected councillor. Reform should never have put someone who holds these abhorrent views forward for public office and should now take immediate disciplinary action. Anti-semitism is racism and has no place in our politics.

The PM @Keir_Starmer has been clear. These were really tough results for Labour and more needs to change. Heโs taken responsibility for that. Heโs not once ducked such responsibilities.
But we wonโt deliver for our communities or serve the national interest by turning in on ourselves.
We must dust ourselves off, come together and get back to delivering for the people who elected us with a landslide just two years ago.
The PM is right not to walk away or talking timetables. At a moment like this, the country needs focus, stability and delivery, not chaos.

Tough election results for Labour and no point pretending otherwise.
People are frustrated, and with good reason. We need a serious look at where policy, delivery and campaigning are falling short.
We also shouldnโt kid ourselves that Reform or Green slogans amount to a serious plan for the country. They donโt. The challenges Britain faces are real, difficult and long term.
The Birmingham Council is now more โsplitโ than ever before, but regardless we will continue to work to deliver for our constituents across these new challenges.
The answer is not more noise or easy answers. Itโs having the courage to take difficult decisions, deliver properly, rebuild a country that is secure and resilient.
To all the Labour team, tough times donโt last, tough people do. Stay focused, keep moving forward and keep delivering.
The aim is to lay your head on your pillow in three years and be confident that we did everything in our power to make the United Kingdom the best it possibly can be.
