It's probably worth considering social media to be like a metropolis. If the authorities said "it's too hard to deal with crime and anti-social behaviour, everyone should just get along together, neighbours can sort out their own disputes", the world would be in chaos.

@IntelUK It seems like every 10 days I get a new driver update for my bluetooth and WiFi which shows commitment, but release notes that say practically nothing don't encourage me. The previous WiFi update was for "regulatory information for India", not really relevant for me.

Given that RPI/CPI includes broadband prices as a component of calculations, it's important that ISPs don't increase their prices by any consumer inflation index. Otherwise it's a circular upward spiral. @Ofcom @CMAgovUK

The price rise you’re seeing isn’t based on the current inflation rate. It was part of the old annual RPI + 3.9% model, which meant bills increased each year by inflation plus an additional percentage. However, as advised by Ofcom, we’ve now changed this system. We no longer increase bills by a percentage of your plan. Instead, future changes will be done as a fixed amount in pounds, making it clearer, more predictable, and easier to understand.

@ZacksJerryRig One of the things I find frustrating is that Americans think we in the UK don't have private health insurance or private hospitals. 7.8mil of us have private health insurance. Mine costs me about $40/mo. No exclusions for pre-existing conditions, small co-pays.

Part of the reason the wheelchairs I build are so cheap is because we completely cut out insurance and the middlemen which *instantly* brought the price down from about ~$7,000 to just $999. A customer told me they paid $12,000 dollars for their first manual wheelchair a year ago - and were ecstatic to get nearly the same thing from us for only $1,200. @SamNewby_ @LuxVeritasAeter If code/data spends more time being read by computers than humans, then that data shouldn't be optimised to be human readable. It's lazy coding to ignore compute efficiency because it's inconvenient. Not saying Toon is good, but JSON is not a good data store it's just abused JS.
