# Bulk Tile - This Is Why Solana Gets The Speed Everyone Needs Bulk forked Jito-Agave (the validator client that runs like 80% of Solana) and baked Bulk Tile into it. Tile is basically a chip that runs parallel to the main processor. Solana handles general tasks, Bulk Tile is built for one specific thing - matching orders fast and deterministically Your order doesn't sit in Solana's mempool (where mev bots can frontrun you), it stays in Bulk's in-memory execution environment. Everything happens offchain but inside the validator itself / 25ms matching ticks / 40ms trade finality / gasless // No sandwich attacks possible because order matching is deterministic - state is precomputed before you even see what other orders exist ## How Does This Work? Orders hit Bulk net (custom network layer with udp fan-out and erasure coding for sub-20ms propagation). Validators can run the matching engine in memory on their Bulk Tiles. After 25ms they aggregate (!) all state changes via bls threshold signatures and then commit one fat transaction to Solana L1 instead of spamming thousands of transactions // The genius part is Solana gets cheap finality while traders get nyse-grade latency ## Validator Economics Validator economics flip because instead of just collecting tips, they get 12.5% of taker fees directly. Do the math and that's like 1-2% boost to staking rewards / Validators earn more / People run more nodes / Network gets stronger Bulk solves an obvious problem, you just gotta get it. Solana can do 65k tps but the matching engine doesn't need 65k tps because it only needs deterministic millisecond matching on fewer transactions // By separating concerns and putting specialized execution inside validators, Bulk gets cex-grade performance while staying decentralized ### Bulk Tile - This Is What Everyone Needs. I really like @irys_xyz . In addition to their fundraising and goals, they took their time to build the project and community, didn't rush, and kept everything under control. Judging by the videos on their x - @irys_xyz , we can conclude that they are preparing us for the mainnet and snapshot. I think this will be november. And you know what? I'm ready. I first learned about the project in May, and since then I have been watching its growth continuously.
