@iWuppp @andyhimitsu @MattyD2423 Consistency is also super important. Show the third act of fantastic four and you’ll find that it’s a grey mess like many of these high budget films coming out now.

@wrlck23 @andyhimitsu @MattyD2423 There's hardly a movie in existence that has the colors of speed racer 🤣 my only point is to show that there is some colorful superhero films out there

Dune Part 3 concluded the Warner Bros. presentation at #CinemaCon with the first 7 minutes of the movie being played for the first time. The thumping sound played over the opening credits before we are thrust into the skies, seeing ships zip through a thunder strom... some unsuccessfully as lightning strikes them down. A number of them evade and make it lower to the ground, hovering a few feet from while zipping forward at a fast pace. Now inside the ships, we see soldiers... Stilgar is with them. The soldiers try to find optimism in the water falling from the sky as a part of their prophecy. They unleash a chant, a war cry - it is the tune from the musical score in the trailers. The ship arrives. The ramps open and the soldiers are shocked and happy to see water fall from the sky as they described. The march out, two in the rear carring a black case. Eventually, they hault. A vicious, relentless wave of massive rounds blasts through them - eviscerating some and launching some into the sky to blow apart into pieces of mist as this massive caliber weapon is so large, fast, and fiery that it blows through them and starts fires. As the weapon blasting at them rises in a pile of the ground emerging from the planet, the men push forward and try to dodge the ammo flying towards them. Some reach a place to hide and take cover, black case with them. Stilgar uses ba binocular to look at the weapon blasting them and call out how far away it is. Stilgar's insights allows for a massive weapon of their own to blast the weapons and pillars on which they stand. The explosion of their weapon hitting them prompts a silence as the sky turns red before an explosion illuminates it with the burn and is heard by the soldiers and audience. Stilgar tries to blast a rocket of his own at those weapons but it is sent back at him, prompting the weapon to turn its aim to the cover which the men had been taking. Some of them are eviscerated... one man tries to run and another calls to him, begging him not do... accuractely expecting that he will be wrecked by the blasts. In a more trailer-like turn for the footage, Paul asks Hayt (Momoa's revived Duncan) what he knows about him and what he thinks. Hayt knows that Paul has risen to power and admits, "I think you're way beyond redemption." We see Anya Taylor-Joy reading cards, Pattinson describes a cloud that is blocking his vision and not allowing him to "see beyond this moment." We see Chani and Paul come face to face... prompting Paul to point a weapon at her as she asks him how it feels to be human like the rest of everyone else. We see shots of various character, action beats, Paul and Chani possibly standing off in a desert - a different location from the dark, dimly red-lit room from their earlier interaction - and a thunderous sand worm to wrap up the footage. Thoughts: The footage is breathtaking. Visually and audibly it's an insanely immersive experience, so much so that it's scary to watch the war-elements of these men getting destroyed... the tension in that scene, even out of context as just a scene to be thrown into as an opening to the film... it's pretty unreal what Denis Villenueve is capable of. With the built-in knowledge of the previous films, the teaser is thrilling and the idea of seeing Paul in this new position, especialll juxtaposed when he has to faceoff with Chani... looks really, really good.

I feel like the situation could be somewhat salvageable if not for people being terrible as usual and insisting “The artists got paid so we can do whatever we want and repost the leaks and discuss spoilers” like the artists themselves are not mortified by the situation

We need to pivot away from saying things look bad to justify hating on it. Its existence as a cash grab remake is enough to warrant negative reception. It certainly doesn’t look “bad,” at least by the looks of the trailer.

@BigOrmie @TheTorete_CF @insomniacgames Your responses are frankly a bit concerning because the topic does not warrant such passion. Chill man, breathe a little.

@masteracestick @TheTorete_CF @insomniacgames 😂What "aggression"? I can amateur Freud too- clearly you're projecting your own strange aggression. How does your armchair psychology explain why you creepily stalk an account to invent some vague ad hom to deflect instead of just addressing the argument? 🤣

@BigOrmie @TheTorete_CF @insomniacgames Dude the argument was relevant 8 years ago, I was in middle school. Obviously I was not the most capable of forming a coherent argument. My 14 year old point was just that I didn’t like to see workers harassed for unnecessary things like a suit in a video game abt superheroes.

@TheTorete_CF @masteracestick @insomniacgames I'm guessing they're still corporate bootlickers who haven't learned the error of their ways. Just linked to this from the game's Wiki - was gagging on how many losers attacked the fans. I wear that Tobey suit more than any other, can't believe ppl were against it being in.

The Brian Herbert Dune books read more like Star Wars than they do Dune. Not a critique necessarily, just an observation that is hard to ignore. Still liking The Butlerian Jihad so far.
