Anyone still using ROS 1? Would love to talk how Pixi & @RoboStack can help you upgrade your base distribution while still supporting good old ROS Noetic.

@DavesRoboShack @prefix_dev Not really, its just more user friendly for users that are not comfortable with the terminal. It does allow for potentionally additional configuration in the wizard.

@prefix_dev Would there be any benefits of using a GUI? Is it easier to see dependencies and select the version of a package? Or to see the source of a package, like conda-forge vs pip?

Would you like a graphical installer for Pixi GUI? We're considering to add it to the MSI installer on Windows. Let us know – especially if you are distributing Pixi in-house.
