@sadsciencee @dok2001 @joeychilson And why DO? Because db is also used in the CRUD API, and every API call opens a separate connection to MongoDB. DO solves connection pooling. Paying makes sense if I was actively using API. But I use frontend maybe 20 minutes in a day and crons run every single minute

@_heyshoo @dok2001 @joeychilson if your 10s is mostly waiting for mongo/network requests then one cron per minute shouldnt take you out of the free tier still unless u have a specific reason to use DO here, maybe use a worker to process the cron?

@dok2001 @joeychilson boss, i use cf exclusively & I love the concept of DOs but needing it to do even basic things like mongo connections doesn't make sense. I will be charged for the whole month if Im running a cron every minute with mongo as my db. (mind you, the process barely takes 10 seconds)
