@AmyRomem Unfortunately we do not use Whatsapp. Your sister can reach out to us through her preferred social media or email us at socialinfo@avis.com . ~HP
.@Avis you've left my sister stranded for *7 hours* on the side of the fwy with a broken-down vehicle. Tow truck just canceled for the 3rd time. Not good reception. Not safe. Help!
@Avis I understand. She's filled out every form and called you directly for 10 hours. Your virtual Whatsapp assitany contacted her last night but did not follow through after she provided all that information.
@AmyRomem Hello
I am sorry that your sister had mechanical issues with her rental. If she was the renter then we must speak with her to make any adjustments to the rental. Please have her contact us with her rental or reservation number so that we help her.
Thanks
Blake
@AmyRomem Our apologies for the late response as we are experiencing a high volume of contacts. Kindly follow back and send us a DM with your concern and mobile number for us to further assist. Thanks!
@AmyRomem We are sorry to hear about this, please send us the reservation/ rental agreement number, your name, the name of the renter. Are you listed as an authorized driver?
~Monte
@Avis No. Not sure what happened to your support. Took an Amtrak bus home & missed a day of work providing medical care to vets. 27 hours to get home instead of 6.
@AmyRomem Hello there Amy, thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Was your sister able to get assistance.

@majavonwestphal@flyingmonkey13 I'm sorry to hear this. I'm still in it. Juggling all the priorities & needs is the hardest thing we do - while sharing the joy of the hard, meaningful work we do together.
@flyingmonkey13 The worst ice breakers and games to me are those that make me "team build" with people I'll never work with. Also: cramming all getting to know-activities into the beginning rather than spreading them out. Smaller groups work for me; inserting stuff here and there works for me.
I struggle this time of year. I read the comments. I know people hate ice breakers and games and chart paper. And, also, I know there are certain things that need to be shared and said and done. Trying to find the balance of must do’s and may do’s…this is what I lose sleep over.
@YoukiTerada We use a fidget contract to review their purpose & appropriate use. Also, novelty/variety are important t, so having a small stash is helpful.
I've been reading a lot about the pros and cons of students using fidgets in the classroom. Things like stress balls, spinners, and chair bands.
Teachers, what's your fidget philosophy? How do you handle the use of fidgets in the classroom?
I've been hearing that a lot of teachers are planning to scale back on tech in their classroom next year.
Are you?
If so, what will you replace it with?
@CS_Chamberlain@tombennett71 Going to start my son on Harry Potter this summer aged 7. First books are mild but they grow up with Harry and I'm worried he'll want to read the lot immediately. Final scene of Book1 and lots of Book3 are I think too much for him right now.
My wee lad enjoys reading but like many boys / kids his age usually prefers to be up trees and committing piracy. But last night I found him up hours after bed time, gripped by a book. In the morning he was up before me, downstairs, buried in the same book. It’s extraordinary being there when this happens to your kids. It’s priceless, just priceless to see it. We read together every day and it was all just being built inside his head. Could not be more proud.
I've been dealing with it for 40+ years... I've learned to ignore it. Hearing aids didn't help me.
However, it is extremely important to get your hearing checked. Severe hearing loss affects your ability to process language. You will permanently lose the ability to understand certain spoken words (even after being fitted for hearing aids). It was determined that I lost 20% of my hearing comprehension when I was finally tested for hearing aids. I wish I hadn't waited so long.
FYI: One of the best places to get your hearing aids is Costco. The price is less than half of a specialist and the devices are state of the art.
