@CashflowAcct @OptimizedPort By the way, I’ve made dividend entries too. Making such an entry doesn’t mean you understand dividends, let alone cash flows. I’ve worked with CPAs who struggled with both those concepts. I have an accounting background, but worked in finance most of my career.

@CashflowAcct @OptimizedPort This argument suggesting dividends paid from retained earnings don’t just pass from one pocket to another, is, from an investor’s perspective, pure nonsense. It ignores every salient tax distinction, as well as the basic financial choices that 99% of US investors must navigate.
