I think everyone (including myself) owe Hume City and Melb City an apology this season.
Some amazing results this week against the two top teams in the league. Been playing some impressive football too.
The season is long though, can they keep it up?

Yes, it’s much younger, but the replacements are really good players, if not better than who they’re replacing in my eyes.

Others like Xav Stella and Josh Cavallo left their clubs to find regular AL football elsewhere, but the three I mentioned are the only ones ever to find regular AL football at the clubs where they played academy football.

One of the curious takeaways from this is that long stints playing senior academy NPL rarely ever translate into regular AL football.
From the top 10 appearance-makers at each club, only 3 (Walatee, Khaddour, Shamoon) ever broke through to regular AL football at those clubs.
