The US is not paying Iran anything under this deal, and the people who keep saying this like @ChrisMurphyCT -- or, worse, who are saying that the US is paying Iran $300 billion, like @amyklobuchar -- are outright lying.
The money that flows to Iran's is Iran's money: that the US froze and refused to give back but will now release under the deal. The $300b is the maximum Iran can get. That's not from the US or from Americans, but from a private fund financed by the Persian Gulf dictatorships and their oligarchs.
These are just Democrats trying to prove to AIPAC and the pro-Israel lobby that they're more hawkish on Iran than Trump/Vance.

2. Trump will probably violate the law and get away with it.
3. "It was unthinkable in 2015 that INARA would be deployed against a Republican president who sought in an agreement related to Iran’s nuclear program to waive sanctions against Iran. And before President Trump began his military action against Iran in February, it was unthinkable that he, a famous critic of the JCPOA, would be making such an agreement. But here we are."

Obama didn’t get rid of the Iranian leadership, didn’t lay a finger on their military assets but trusted them with a deal worth billion$.
Trump got rid of the Iranian leadership, devastated their military and nuclear program and then started over with a diplomatic deal that will secure America’s future.
This is how it is done.
We’ve never had a President mixing military action and diplomacy so seamlessly.
