@CanuckCreator @SnazzyLabs Yeah... I haven't pulled out an actual credit card since I moved to Europe. I pay for everything with my phone. Which makes going back to the US so frustrating since a lot of places still don't accept such forms of payment.

@MattStultz @elianarose66 @fntsmn Annin AR4... DO NOT buy. I want to like it so much... It's a neat kit and all the machined parts are fucking gorgeous. But it's a frustrating build. It needs some serious DFM work. If I were to do it again I'd make a custom pcb to clean up the wiring.

Just made my second big investment of the year! 🚀 I’ve added an ABB IRB6700/3.2-150 robot and a CEAD pellet extruder to the lineup – ready to print some massive parts! Next up: a milling head for even more capabilities in 2025! #3DPrinting #Manufacturing

As I near completion of this robot project I realize it might have been easier to spend a few days at the start and design a whole PCB that simplifies the wiring. It's so tempting to redo all of it but that would be pretty dumb at this point.

NOOOOOOOOO!!! It was 35 hours in and has 9ish hours left! Will I be able to recover it tomorrow? How do I stop this from happening in the future? I feel like printers should bring the current file into internal storage while printing. Didn't the Makerbot 5th gen do that?

@MandicReally I have a file that I import into the user parameters for most Fusion360 designs that's exactly this for M2-M6 parts. Every value you'd ever need for any of those.

I need to make a cheat sheet of common dimensions when working on printers and what sizes I use for design work. M3 screwed into plastic? 2.85mm. M3 Heat Insert? 4.75mm. M2.5 Heat Press Insert? .... Idfk...

We're in Paris now 🇫🇷 One thing I noticed about France is these fresh orange juice machines are EVERYWHERE and it's quite cheap (in comparison to fresh juice in North America). The machines themselves are also pretty cool 😎

We open-source our products as much as we can - to help people who want to repair, mod, or otherwise customize their 3D printers, keep them running decade after original purchase. We release the firmware, the slicer, printable parts, drawings for the frame, heatbed, electronic schematics... We hire community contributors. We close things which are the least valuable to our community, but the most valuable for chinese competitors. It makes me sad and angry to hear your repeated attacks on us. It seems like it is never enough for you. Unless it's 100% open-source to the last bolt, you will channel your deep hatred for us. You criticized our wording of OS on our web. So we created a dedicated page where we clearly explain and link all our open-source resources and mark what we are not planning to open. We also adjusted the wording on all our sites to be clear and honest about what is open-source and what is not. And now you criticize us we changed it. You criticized us we only gave STLs for some parts. So we went back, reexported everything as easily editable STEP files and we made it a standard to release STEP files whenever possible. But is not enough for you, you now critize us for sharing STEP files and not literally the original saved file from our employee from whatever software they used. You think you are fighting for open-source. I think you are harming open-source by demanding and punishing anything but an absolute open-source of absolutely everything, comparing us to companies filing thousands of malicious patents.

Epic heat creep clog is epic! My fault. Printing PLA in the enclosure on the @Prusa3D Mk4 when the office is over 90F (32.7C). Filming a video so I couldn’t have air flow like I normally would and well… 😬😬😅😅

@JoshMurrah @MandicReally @Prusa3D It's easier than you'd think. Filament doesn't really stick that much to the upper tube. I find attaching the heater back to the board outside the extruder, heating, then pushing fresh filament through manually from the top & once through a quick cold pull to be quite effective.
