NEPA raised. Fully vaccinated pincushion in November. Relatively healthy in since. Twitter is mostly awful, but some great people still use it, so....

@ChaseDaniel I think too many Steelers fans have dreams of Josh Allen or some All-Pro QB in their heads. I hope Allar isn't just an arm. I mean, if he winds up like a Davis Mills or a Drew Lock and has an 8-10 year career as a backup/spot starter, that's pretty good!

Nobody knows what’s happening with Rodgers…but Drew Allar might be the most fascinating part of this whole Steelers situation. The flashes are special but the inconsistencies are frustrating. If he develops the right way, this gets VERY interesting.

@JamesSurowiecki It’s a good way to learn the names of guys you might not know. Reading “Mock Drafts” are a waste of time though. The Kiperites playing GM have little to no idea what teams are looking for in the draft.

If it weren't of any real use, then the consensus board would not be a good forecaster of future NFL value. But it is essentially as good as the NFL draft order itself.

@JessicaBRiedl @JohnDalyBooks I wore a tan suit for my wedding in solidarity with President Obama.* *I did wear tan, but because it looked great. I still wonder though what it must feel like to be so reviled, a tan suit would become a national scandal. Anywho, please continue…

@JohnDalyBooks Obama was extremely, needlessly partisan in ways that most of his voters simply cannot see. His "I'm post-partisan, and against attack politics, unlike my evil opponents who want you all to die," shtick seemed to raise no partisan flags with his supporters. But it was there.

Folks, I'm well aware that Trump is on an entirely different level (I've argued that for over a decade). But the incapacity of so many Obama fans, to understand how even very Trump-critical people like me can find Obama needlessly partisan and polarizing, is stunning.

There is alot more to this story than meets the eye. I have heard from a GOP source with excellent knowledge of the state of play at the high reaches of the party that the idea of Don Jr going for the nomination over Vance or Rubio is not some far fetched development. What I was told, and I quote, was "Trump has liked Rubio better than Vance for a while. But Rubio and Vance could split the non-Trump vote while Don Jr takes the hard core vote and this means the nomination. Would be pretty appealing to DT" Just watch Don Jr closely over the coming months....

@MinkahBurgh39 Jones could have started flying like Superman on February 1, and the Steelers still would have declined his option. Had nothing to do with the injury or last week’s draft.

@MinkahBurgh39 Pitt fans?! You should hear what my friends who are Penn State alums/fans have to say about him! They are A) thrilled he turned pro and B) in disbelief Pittsburgh drafted him.

I hope every single Pitt fan who is rooting for Allar to fail stays on that side if he succeeds. The things they say about him is wild, a lot of them speak bad on him even outside of football when he’s done nothing to deserve that.

I’m forever team Pittsburgh Steelers. This logo means far more to me than the name on the back of someone’s jersey. I don’t care who our future QB is and you shouldn’t either. Whether it’s Will Howard, Drew Allar or someone else. Time will tell. But, I want someone gritty, competitive and mentally/emotionally resilient. If, whoever that person is, sacrifices their mind, body and soul for the betterment of this franchise, I’ve got them for life.

@DBAkron @jack_sperry @ChatSports I have a friend who is a coach. I’ve learned that if he leads with intangibles and how good a guy is off the field when discussing a player, it means the guy can’t play.

@jack_sperry @ChatSports Mike is not going to say anything negative about his players. What I watch out for is coaches heaping praise on intangibles instead of real performance. Intangibles can pull players with above ave physical skills to a higher level, but the bottom line is performance (scoring)

Mike McCarthy still claims to be 'extremely excited' about Will Howard despite drafting Drew Allar in the top 100, saying he thinks Will is a future NFL starter. 🤔 Is that belief genuine or is Big Mike BSing us here? 💩 My Thoughts: ⬇️🔊 @ChatSports youtube.com/watch?v=nAuGQO…

@JN_Steve_ Guys used to play multiple positions all the time. Will Woolford and Alan Faneca were LG who shifted to LT at times. Jeff Hartings was a guard turned center. Marvel Smith and Max Starks played both tackle spots.

I’m not sure if #Steelers’ fans only watch the Steelers or what, but I feel like this needs to be said because WAY too many people in the fanbase are making it a bigger deal than it needs to be… THE STEELERS ARE NOT THE ONLY TEAM WHO PLAY O-LINEMAN “OUT OF POSITION”. Man, you guys really have to watch the NFL as a whole and not just the team in #Pittsburgh before complaining. This is not something that is exclusive to the Steelers, you either stick at one of the 5 spots or you don’t. I could go on for days, but here are just a few examples. #HereWeGo #NFL #Buccaneers Tristan Wirfs: RT early in NFL career, LT now. #Raiders Jackson Powers-Johnson: college center, NFL guard. #Chiefs Joe Thuney: shuffled between guard and OT when he was part of the team. #Packers Elgton Jenkins: shuffled between all 5 spots when he was part of the team. #Chargers Joe Alt: college LT, NFL year 1 RT, NFL year 2 LT. #Buccaneers Graham Barton: college LT, NFL center. #Titans JC Latham: college RT, NFL year 1 LT, NFL year 2 RT. #Titans Peter Skoronski: college OT, NFL guard. #Packers Jordan Morgan: college OT, NFL guard. #Jets Olu Fashanu: college LT, NFL year 1 RT, NFL year 2 LT. #Cowboys Tyler Smith: college OT, NFL guard, and then back to OT. #Lions getting ready to shift Penei Sewell after Decker’s departure.

The Steelers’ interest in Max Iheanachor goes back further than expected. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Pittsburgh first spotted him during a 2025 scouting trip to Arizona State while evaluating quarterback Sam Leavitt. Their attention intensified at the Senior Bowl in January, where Iheanachor and Iowa tackle Gennings Dunker were seen executing pulling sequences together along the same offensive line.

@jack_sperry I’ve been watching football a long, long time. Guys with great arms have come and gone. If 5 or 6 good throws over 2 seasons was all it took, there would be 300 quarterbacks in the Hall of Fame. I hope this kid isn’t awful, but the odds are against him.
