Sources: the Steelers placed the rare right-of-first-refusal tender on Aaron Rodgers, meaning that he can accept a 10 percent raise off last year’s salary, which would pay him about $15 million this season.
As another condition of the tender, Rodgers would only be able to sign with the Steelers once training camp begins.

@ultramet @MemesJets This is the point. I don't care about your political beliefs if you can hit, run, field and do it all in New York. Nimmo is clearly hitting the back end, but dumping him for a player who is completely WASHED was a terrible decision. At least get back value.

@MemesJets That was a salary dump bc Nimmo was apparently not well liked by some. Analytics weren’t used for anything in this case, but for the most part, this is a very analytics-constructed team. I don’t care what Nimmo’s POVs were, you just don’t trade for trash.

This is why modern day analytics won’t fully replace the human scouting element. Analytics produces mathematical models, yet they omit many intangibles such as playing in huge market, player relationships, susceptibility to fatigue and anxiety, etc. What we end with are the 2026 #Mets

As April wraps up, it’s time to stop sugarcoating it and start calling this roster what it is: flawed and in some spots, flat-out broken.
It starts with Luis Robert Jr. The New York Mets keep running him out in the top half of the lineup like he’s producing, but the reality? His last 70 ABs have been brutal. Right now, he looks exactly like the inconsistent version the Chicago White Sox were dealing with in 2025… maybe worse.
