Linus Tech Tips just dropped $5 million on a used Dassault Falcon 900B private jet like it’s Black Friday at Best Buy. Bro, you spent your entire “screwdriver tier list” budget on a flying Winnebago that used to belong to the UAE government and still has gold-plated sinks and ashtrays. Congrats, king, now when you flex your 4090s at 40,000 feet, you can wash your hands in melted Dubai oil money while the rest of your team flies Spirit Airlines with the emotional support of emotional damage. He’s out here calling it a “$0 plane” because they just did engine work. Yeah, Linus, and my 12-year-old Honda is a $0 car after I put new tires on it. That jet of yours still guzzles more fuel per hour than your warehouse burns through extension cords, and the annual upkeep is probably higher than most of your employees’ salaries combined.  Imagine being the guy who once cried over a bent pin in a CPU socket, now casually dropping more on a mid-90s jet than the GDP of several small countries. “It’s for work, guys!” Sure it is. Nothing says “efficient content creation” like turning a 30-year-old bird into an airborne gaming rig while your editors are still editing 4K on machines you underpaid them to assemble. Next video: “I Built a 5090 Gaming Setup in My Private Jet! and It Still Crashed Harder Than My Employee Morale.” lol Peak Canadian tech bro: complaining about the price of RAM one week, then buying a luxury yacht with wings the next. At least the gold sinks match your ego, right? both shiny, overpriced, and completely unnecessary. Safe flights, Linus. Try not to drop any more screws at altitude. The last thing we need is a 5-million-dollar paperweight falling out of the sky because you “tested” the cabin pressure with a bag of Cheetos.
Pirat_Nation 🔴@Pirat_Nation

Linus Tech Tips has bought a private jet valued at around 5 million dollars. It was previously owned by the UAE government and has gold-plated sinks and ashtrays. Linus calls it a zero-dollar plane because of the recent expensive engine work and full service inspection that returned it to like-new condition.

They have apparently invented a "bridge language" between English and the Romance languages, called Anglese. I don't know if it's actually mutually intelligible, we would need to test it with English speakers who know zero Romance, and vice versa. I can read it very easily but I have a certain amount of romance language vocabulary and can typically figure out written Spanish or Portuguese and sometimes French or Italian.

DLSS fundamentally makes no sense. Because the graphics card is too slow to run the game at reasonable speeds, you use THE SAME HARDWARE to run a neural network to generate frames in between the existing ones.

You'll love this! Remember the migrant insulting and harassing the police woman? Meet Mohamed Bekkali. He's 24. He now claims to be a victim of "social and socio-profiling." ❌ He pled guilty last June to identity fraud and possession of counterfeit documents. ❌ He's received at least THREE speeding tickets. ❌ He was fined $228 in a Montreal suburb for "shouting, insulting, blaspheming or threatening" police officers. ❌ Take note, he threatened to buy the female officer and make her his slave. But dear, sweet Mohamed... He is the victim here.

@BackersGamesF Epic is in contact with the family and will solve the insurance for them. There is high confidentiality around medical information and it was not a factor in this layoff decision. Sorry to everyone for not recognizing this terribly painful situation and handling it in advance.

Cmon man, this is facetious. Does NK need to specifically use that Islamist trope for you to take their threat seriously? North Korea regularly publishes propaganda where they threaten to launch nukes at the US, while having nukes, and the capability to deliver them. They call the US the “axis of evil”. Plenty of people say “death to America”, some of them live in this country. Why should they be taken more seriously than the country with nukes that publishes a news broadcast every 5 years about how great their missiles are? I’d seriously sit down and consider whether you’ve swallowed too much anti-Islamic propaganda to the point you no longer see them as humans capable of rational thought.

A married couple revealed their government checks. “$142,000 a year.” From disability. $4,700 a month for her. $7,200 a month for him. What does it say about the system when they’re making more doing nothing than the taxpayers working to fund it.

@MatrixMysteries 2.7% of the budget goes toward VA compensation. That’s peanuts compared to the fraud happening elsewhere, or what politicians to do with our money. And thats even assuming all of that 2.7% is fraud—when it’s far from it. Haters just wishing they made better decisions in life.

$8,400 on a gastroenterologist, an allergist, and 14 months of elimination diets before someone tested his zonulin levels Had a client come to me after being told he had IBS, possible Crohn's, maybe a "sensitive stomach." He'd cut out gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, corn, nightshades, histamine foods. Was eating 7 foods. Lost 22 pounds he didn't need to lose. Still bloating after every meal. Still waking up looking 6 months pregnant by dinner The allergist ran a skin prick test. Came back negative for everything. The GI ran an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Both clean. "Must be stress-related." Gave him a prescription for dicyclomine and told him to try yoga Nobody measured intestinal permeability. Nobody checked what was happening between the cells of his gut lining. Nobody even considered that the barrier itself was the problem, not the food passing through it We ran zonulin. Through the roof. His tight junctions were blown open. Every food he ate was triggering an immune response not because the food was the problem but because his gut wall was letting partially digested proteins into his bloodstream where they don't belong. His immune system was attacking food particles like foreign invaders because to his body they WERE foreign invaders The issue wasn't removing more foods. It was fixing the barrier. What we did: Stopped all further food restriction immediately. Reintroduced foods one by one while supporting the gut lining. Bone broth daily for collagen and glycine to support mucosal repair. L-glutamine at therapeutic doses for enterocyte fuel. Removed the actual triggers: chronic undereating, excessive cardio, and 4 cups of coffee on an empty stomach every morning (this mf was basically torturing his gut). Added zinc carnosine for mucosal protection. Restored caloric intake to actual maintenance. He'd been eating 1,600 calories at 185 lbs Within 6 weeks he was eating 30+ foods again. Bloating completely gone. The 7-food prison diet that three doctors endorsed was making him sicker by starving the microbial diversity his gut needed to heal $8,400. 14 months. And the answer was to eat MORE, not less btw if you're carrying a list of "safe foods" on your phone and it keeps getting shorter, your problem probably isn't food sensitivity. Your problem is barrier integrity. I go deep on gut permeability, zonulin, and exactly how to repair barrier function on my substack. link in bio

It’s up to devs if DLSS 5 photorealism is an option in their games, and they will be able to tune it to their own liking. It’s exclusive to 50 series cards, so any dev who relies on it to make their game pretty for them would be pretty foolish. The backlash is…confusing 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Grummz You do realize that they’ll lock the AI to prevent gamers from setting styles they deem offensive, don’t you? There’s no way on earth that they’ll allow gamers to give all the characters Afros or dreadlocks, for example. Once they prevent one thing, they’ll prevent it all.

I think a lot of people are going to very mad at DLSS 5. And then, in 2-3 years, when gamers have full control over their games visuals (this will eventually let you set whatever style you want from a game, from anime to retro), people will not be so mad anymore. It's just the way it goes. I don't like the uncanny valley look of it right now, but I remember Netflix going from DVDs to inferior streaming the same way with soooo many hating it.
