@JasonCZhang That’s like when someone holds pressure with a pack of 4x4s and an entire hand rather than a finger or two directly where there’s bleeding

@leahbackhusmd Three tries for a first attempt, pretty good! I know you can get it in two!

Not so far removed from the residency application process myself, I remember what it was like attending this open house just last year! Come see what my amazing co-interns @AshleyYJChoi, @KiahMW, and I have been up to since then and what makes @StanfordCTSurg such a special place

A couple months ago, I was afraid my grandmom would miss her first graduation. Instead, she saw the first member of her family become a doctor!

@jbcarmody @AndrewAckerMD I undrstnd how that would artificially deflate CT's match rate. Except, the same is true for all surgical sub-specialties. I guess the difference is CT's SSS. From experience, the opposite scenario is more likely for "successful" CT applicants whom the metric attempts to capture

@MatthewMDuda @AndrewAckerMD For instance, suppose an applicant ranks a general surgery program number 1 and a a thoracic surgery program number 2 - but then matches in general surgery. S/he is counted the same as an unmatched applicant in the overall thoracic surgery figures.

@SportsRadioWIP Just because McNabb has more counting stats as a result of having more opportunities doesn't make him more clutch than Foles. The only stat that matters: Super Bowl wins/starts. Foles 1/1 (100%), McNabb 0/1 (0%)
