IMHO, you really aren't going to change your sleep chronotype once you hit adulthood, so do what works best for you. I'm a morning person and always have been, but I find that wakeup time doesn't matter for me as much as going to bed at 10:30pm. Too much before and I'm racing, too much later and I'm not as sharp the next day. Imagine being in a tribe of 150-250 people. You needed ALL kinds. I would definitely be one of the early builders. Let the teenagers and some hunters protect the perimeter at night, that's why they're the night owls.

I had mentioned I liked to sleep in because regardless of how early I go to bed, if I wake up at five or six, I'm exhausted. She said "no man wakes up at 10 am" like I'm supposed to be plowing a field on foot in the morning. It got me curious, am I really not a night person? Had I been lying to myself this whole time? For months now I've intentionally switched my schedule and I've been waking up between 6:30 and 7:30 every day. I'm actually getting about an hours more sleep each night as well. Do you know what I've noticed? I'm more tired than usual every morning than if I got less sleep and woke up at 10. I require more caffeine to be functional, whereas if I sleep later, I wake up ready to go. I find myself entirely unapproachable and disinterested in communicating with my family for the first hour if they're even awake outside of grunts. I don't want to talk, I don't want to plan the days activities. I want to go take a shower, come out and sit in silence while my brain wakes up. I'm cranky and sleepy on more sleep and I require more caffeine to be functional. I'm not productive at all. This of course wears off and I start functioning normally... at the time I used to wake up at. Screw that tradwife.

Yep. I have an agent that does ONE thing really well, so I keep it going, but what I've learned is that I just need more hyper-specific control panels that send in prompts to good LLMs exactly as I want, and I handle what I get back. It's all junk vibe coded agents sending in junk vibe prompts into cheap LLMs... the idea will get there, but not like this.
