For the record when people talk about ATL being full they are actually unhappy & stuck in their car. They aren’t interacting with anyone in a crowd, they are just looking at the bumper in front of them.

@topherScott54 @Neillo13 "refuses to address the issue" they've added the beltline, bike lanes on some major corridors; this effectively increases hyper local citizen enjoyment, just not passer throughs, or non locals.
Meanwhile the state; "just add another lane" adds to congestion.

The "Valentine's Day" traffic in ATL proper today is definitely justification for congestion pricing. It would support necessary investment in our infrastructure and help fund multimod space to encourage people to move in other ways. ATL is not just a parking lot.

@royfrompluto @MARTAtransit Staying with facts those creating the condition are the ones that pass on funding MARTA/other viable transport options. ITB there are many accessible places w/ a Willingness to use alternatives to cars. Doing nothing keeps ATL where its been for 20+ yrs in the OTP rearview mirror

@Neillo13 issue with congestion pricing in atlanta is we don't have enough viable transportation alternatives for most of the city. even ITB (beltline) there are few places I would get to for a nice valentines dinner w/o using a car. looking forward to nextgen @MARTAtransit bus map tho!
