The PM does the correct thing, address Australians, tells the government has their back, don't panic help each other and try to minimise fuel use. Now the usual suspects are out complaining he had nothing important to say. And they wonder why the Aussie voters trust Labor

The Albanese Government banned Iranians with valid Australian visas from entering the country, to stop them claiming asylum because of the war their Government supports. Up to 7,200 people with visas had the door slammed shut when they most needed our help. It's a dog act.

@ALeighMP you had me at scrapping net zero and slashing immigration. No need to keep trying to convince me they are the only viable choice after those. Agreed - we vote ON.

South Australia expected – within 18 months – to become first gigawatt-scale grid in the world to reach 100% net #renewables (net refers to the fact that it imports and exports at times and is not an isolated grid), and is already running at a 75% share of wind and solar. reneweconomy.com.au/grow-your-own-…

BREAKING: @BethPratt, the woman responsible for California's $114 million animal bridge boondoggle, has responded to our investigation with a rambling Facebook post blaming the weather and "unprecedented biodiversity collapse." This is what happens when you put crazy in charge.

@aapfactcheck I read just last week on the SA Gov website that holiday visa holders can register for local elections. Funnily enough they scrubbed the page

@VoteLewko Whether a country should exist is a political opinion. Locking someone in a cage for a political opinion is antithetical to a liberal world view.

I don't agree with Craig here. You need to understand what 'From the River to the Sea" actually means. It means every bit of land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. There is a bit of land there currently, known as Israel. The slogan echoes the Hamas charter and calls for the destruction of Israel and a replacement with an Islamic state of "Palestine". That would result in the immediate mass murder of Jews. No doubt our friend thinks she's a peace activist but unlike "Free Palestine" (unlikely given who would run the joint) her catchy slogan actually calls for ethnic cleansing and genocide of millions of Jews. That is absolutely incitement - even if the legislation is perhaps clumsy. Side note: If she wore that tank top in Gaza they'd call her a whore eligible to be raped or murdered. Nice bunch.
Craig Kelly:🇦🇺Foundation for Economic Education@craigkellyAFEE

I totally DISAGREE with what she says, but she should have the right to say it (or wear it on a T-shirt) It’s borderline, but it doesn’t crosses the threshold of incitement. Arresting people for their opinion, doesn’t change attitudes, it only hardens them. And if you can be arrested for this, what other "slogans" could you be arrested for in the future.

@R_o_d_C @TheAusInstitute Not taxing something isn't a 'subsidy'. If I don't rob my neighbour, that isn't me subsidising them.

@BretWeinstein Are American memories so short they forgot who Harris is? Did they forget that the two options put forward by the Democrats was a demented old man and a very low IQ empty suit - neither which was selected by the voters?

That’s fair. I was mistaken that voting for Trump would prevent this war. Obviously. And to be clear, I did more than just vote for him That said, I don’t accept that the alternative was tolerable, or would’ve prevented war. And given the same choice, I’d vote the same way again
Conor Friedersdorf@conor64

A person with normal epistemic humility would say, "I was mistaken when I concluded that a Trump vote would make war with Iran less likely." That is in fact what happened.

This is what cost-of-living action looks like. Labor’s anti-price gouging laws are now in effect — locking in daily fuel prices and stopping retailers from hiking prices without warning. The Allan Labor Government is on your side. #petrol #labor #savings #victoria #melbourne
