WATCH: "Professor Jiang" explains that we could fix poverty by printing infinite money but we don't because we want people to be poor.
I am not joking.
When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance.
Then you learned:
- It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3
- It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5
So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value?
....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.
@nappycooter@Bellagio That’s kind of the point.
Vegas has never been the “cheap” option, it’s the premium one.
There are still plenty of affordable places in Vegas… just not the center Strip.
Sure… Vegas is “dead.”
Meanwhile, inside the Bellagio Conservatory — packed every day.
Here’s the reality people don’t want to admit:
Vegas didn’t die… it filtered.
Post-Covid, they let anyone in just to survive.
Cheap rooms, chaos, TikTok fights, people crying about $20 water in the desert.
Now? That era’s over.
Prices went up.
Vibe cleaned up.
And the people who can actually afford to be here showed back up.
If you think Vegas is dead…
you’re probably just not the target customer anymore.
And judging by the crowds —
they’re perfectly fine with that.
@Almiller2222@thecyberfam The plus side of Rivian is they offer actual SUV body styles and colors that are interesting, appealing, and not too complex for local body shops to match if you’re in a minor accident. Tesla’s color palette sucks.
Is this what you thought Yellowstone Park was like? Unmoving traffic jams lasting 1-3 hours; rivaling that of suburban areas in big cities. Nowhere to park. Insane prices. Tourists harassing animals, littering, picking flowers, influencers everywhere, sticking their hands in basins and ruining them, no good camping spots left because people use AI programs to snatch up the good ones within milliseconds of the site opening up, and most of your day spent behind Asian tourist busses.
The overwhelming amount of tourists have made the park experience unbearable. You used to be able to go there and explore nature peacefully. Now it's worse than Disneyland.
@MrsMassacre My favorite part is the collection of umbrellas (heaven forbid your skin darken slightly from the sun) in every hot spring/geyser/hot pot that blew out of Chinese tourists’ hands and couldn’t be retrieved. 😡
@TheBigBroTea She is product of a dentist, a salon, a trainer and a tanning bed. Why do we call them “influencers” instead of “purchasers” these are fake people
We tried to ask Paradise Residential Services CEO Jocelyne Ininahazwe about her $16M plus autism business and allegations of fraud from former employees.
She fled in her Mercedes Benz E Series (which, personally, I think is less gauche than her son’s G-Wagons).
Well turns out some men actually do think callings make you important. Though for the record, Sunday School President is a very funny choice to have this attitude about
@NoblestCalling I was in a ward in California when a brother got up to bear his “testimony” and passive-aggressively complained that he wasn’t chosen to serve in the new bishopric. Dude, you don’t get a raise and a company car for that!
How is making a reel not a humiliation ritual? I can’t stop myself from thinking about all the camera positioning and editing that goes into those videos and wondering how anyone works themselves up to making one.
A church near my house apparently wants to learn how to learn how to talk to members of the Church. I wonder if they're going to watch @ThoughtfulSaint, @Lets_Talk_HC , etc. I also wonder what would happen if my friends and I showed up 😅
Tesla implemented a key card backup almost 10 years ago.
Toyota is just implementing it now with their new RAV4. In legacy auto fashion, they treat it as some revolutionary new technology. 😂
